running. Takes more mind over matter. I never thought that I would be a long distance runner. However I just completed my third Half Marathon. During the race; I still struggle with the classic head thoughts of: why are you doing this? Your 36 and slow! However I keep pushing myself a little more each mile and by the Finnish line I have surprised myself. Surprised in the way that I feel better, I feel complete, I feel amazing knowing that I didn't give up. New Orleans Rock n Roll Half Marathon 2017: my time and PR ( 02: 07: 14 )

It is not really possible to turn weaknesses into strengths; it's possible to get your weaknesses to mediocre level but if you want to be great at something, you need to double down on your natural strengths.
