Evening workouts are better for me. If I train in the morning, I am kinda lazy the whole day after the training. Laying around more and all, which will decrease the amount of energy I use during the day. If I work out in the evening, I will just eat something after the training and then chill and sleep. The next day I have new energy for everything.

I'm a solid morning gym guy. I go about it as I give everything I have at the gym. The gym will be the hardest thing I do all do all things considered. If I did it in reverse I don't think I have as much energy to use as I've used it all day. And I also hate working out feeling full in my stomach. Whether food or drink. So morning is best for me

I eat a big dinner at 5: 30 pm after work then shower and sleep. Lift at 3: 30 am and back in the shower at 4: 30 am to get ready for work. So I guess I lift in the middle of the night. I'm starting week 6 of a recomp. Things are going great. (The gym is slow. not empty but slow. in the middle of the night. No waiting on equipment)

I prefer working out in the evenings. I already have my day over and my free time starts, I can have a protein shake or some BCAAs for recovery afterwards and I won't have restless calf muscles at night when I go to bed (that's the only part of my legs that wants to tingle and move at night if I don't work them enough.

I prefer after leaving work in the evening , but my gym is so packed around that time that I stick to the morning where I don’t have to wait to use an equipment or get interrupted by someone asking me how many sets I have left.

I've tried working out in the morning. It didn’t work well for me; I felt tired, exhausted, and overall dizzy, and I lifted less than when working out in the evening/night. For me, I do better between 4 p. m. and 7 p. m.

Moral of the story, everyone’s different and there’s plus and negative to either periods. Ignore all this analytical BS and random studies and just get into the gym when you can or feel like it. Simple as that.

I’m up at 5: 15 and out the door by 6 AM. I just can’t get up any earlier to workout in the morning so it’s workouts at night for me.
May not be optimal, but it’s what I do consistently so it works for me.

Mine are always later on in the evening. It's hard for me to make gains, due to several meds I'm on. Some hurt muscle protein synthesis and testosterone. Without them, I wouldn't be able to workout at all.

Definitely better results with afternoon workouts. In the evening too, but the best results I had were working out between 4 and 5 PM. Now I have to work out in the morning and my performance varies.

Both work great as long as you are doing them but if you can do it in the morning thats probably best because later in the day anything can make you not want to so do it whenever you can either is great!

Go carnivore and work out any time you want for guaranteed weight loss. I notice that I can even work outside in 30 C heat without problems. modern carbs (vs. sporadic seasonal) are poison.

I do aerobics in the morning 1 hour after breakfast and before shower to wake up the body. I do resistance before sleep since I don't sweat too much, and the movements are slower.

If you lift weights closer to bed you will get growth hormone during sleep sooner. I you lift in the morning and don't sleep for 12 hours you will be diminishing your gains.

I'm up at 5 for cardio in the morning. I'll eat 4 meals before training at 5: 30-6: 30pm. No issues going to bed at 10: 30pm. I focus on getting 13-15k steps a day.

I work out when I can afford to work out each day. As long as you give 110% every time, the time you work out shouldn’t really matter. Especially if you work.

I have tried both. Even without a pre-work out, I do better after an early nap and late morning/early afternoon work outs.
