Pre workout supplements are just a waste of cash, one of the great con jobs. Ever wonder why you cant find a Coffee flavored pre workout? B/C they are concerned you will figure this shit out and say why not drink coffee. Main active ingredient - caffeine. Beta Alanine? Do you really need your skin to tingle while you work out? List of supplements to get? Whey isolate (day/post workout) and Casein protein powders (night) (key here is buy quality shit, avoid proprietary ingredients. Same idea as the drug dealer cutting his shit up to make more dough. Also, keep an eye on the cholesterol content (I use NOW brands whey protein iso, in 1 shake the daily cholesterol is roughly 2% of your recommended daily allowance. I have seen in the past, companies like EAS, 1 of their shakes had about 15%-20% of your daily cholesterol (why in the world would you want that (dont give me its good cholesterol - it's trash) Creatine - again buy the purest form available. The first time I used Creatine my strength seemed to go up 15%+- (non scientific - just eye balling the weights I was lifting)BCAAs- I use this in about 50% of my workouts. Usually on the more heavier compound days. Keep an eye on what sweeteners they are using. Seems to give me a little extra pump. Arginine and Citrullin - Use for vascular reasons/pump. We see these as over priced supplements with names like vascular KING or Veins all Day long. It's a con job, just go buy L Arginine and save some cash. Glucosamine / Chondroitiin - MSM: Joint and muscle recovery. For me its mainly to help with joint pain. Zinc (take before bed): Influences Testosterone Stinging Nettle Root: Influences Testosterone Fish oil: spend a little extra dough and get cold water fish oil (try to get this in triglyceride form. Heart/Eye/Joint healthVit D3: take during the day as this can interfere with your natural occurring melatonine at nightVit K2: Helps with decreasing the calcification of your arteries. People die of this all the time when they have a artery blowout and bleed out. Common old age death. Multi Vitamin: non synthetic if you can affordACV

I guess this should probably be more of a private comment, and I certainly dont mean to publicly criticize your videos, Jeff, but. I truly love your content - the issue I have - and I hope this is useful information for you - is really just the way you narrate. You sound very intelligent and you know your stuff well, that is obvious. But even for someone like me who has a background that allows me to get most of what your saying without having to bother Siri, the speed at which you pour out the information in the video, well - for me anyway - its like something akin to reading the fine print at the end of a drug commercial. Too much info and too little time disseminate it. I wonder if theres any value in changing the way you narrate to something more akin to what youd find in the narration of a documentary. Even a news anchor, or reporter learns to speak with stylized swells and dips in their tone of voice, speaking slower, but emphasizing at the right spots etc. Maybe your videos would be longer, but thats no bad thing, at least for me. Presently I find myself having to hit pause often, lol. But maybe thats just me. Hey, Im sure you know your audience. If Im alone on this then I apologize. The thickness of your content has likely generated a need for fast narrating in order to get it all out. Its definitely that thickness that - in my opinion - puts your videos above all the rest in the Youtubaverse. I hope you never change that. In fact I wouldnt edit a single word, just the speed and variation of tone with which they are spoken. Thanks for all you do and I hope this helps you in some way.

Youtube keeps suggesting these videos to me because I genuinely used to be interested in the subject and I genuinely followed the information from these types of videos. I lost a lot of weight and had been building a lot of muscle over the past year but ive I've been doing it my way. I had to resort to my way because these videos created information overload that kept me from enjoying my food or I could not feel like a normal human when i missed a workout day. It became obsessive, like the info. Today i eat whatever i want just like i did in high school and just like in High School I stay Super Active on my mountain bike on the weights and jogging. I eat whatever I want but regulate most portions and i still have 6 pack and am still building muscle. Im 39 yrs old. Enjoy your life and your food. Relax and just promise yourself too always grond super hard in the gym

I feel like the video segment that describes the caffeine reference failed to mention that there are studies that show that caffeine efficacy when regularly consumed is reduced down to the point of not consuming caffeine at all. In the study it also mentions it raises cortisol presumably meaning you have to train less frequently and will end up with lean muscle mass. On top of this around 30% of people develope adrenal insufficiency like symptoms with marginal amounts of caffeine consumption. There are also studies which show caffeine speeds up the bowels meaning less nutrients get absorbed. Caffeine to me is therefore a fake supplement

My first supplement was weight gainer. I trained so much and playing soccer for varsity I could never gain weight. I was cut like a dagger but never could get over 155lbs w/ the amount of exercises I was doing. I could run a 4. 3 40 yard dash though lol. Also I'm trying to pack on about 10 more lbs of muscle (I train consistently and weigh about 163lbs) but I feel as if I don't get enough calories in. I don't really want to change my diet much but haven't been taking any supps and I know this would help. Would whey or Casein protein be better for packing on more muscle. I'm thinking Casein since it burns slower. Thanks

Thank you for the video. I gained a lot of knowledge from this one. I for one have used creatine before and yes it does a great job given you eat well enough and drink a ton of water, but I've faced hairfall issue only when i started to notice the gains i got from creatine. So it was hard choice but i had to leave it for good. I still have the creatine pack only 30% used and i badly want to use it but i know that i will never trade my hair for fuller muscle and increased strength. Could you please throw some light in this issue or you could just link me to a video about creatine and hair loss? Thank you.

10 years. I think that little lynch pin of information is lost on a lot of people first starting out. Consistent training habits, eating habits, resting habits, for 10 years. Don't think because you've trained for a year and still don't look like Dwayne Johnson that The Rock's just got great genetics and use it as an excuse to get off the horse. Modern life isn't perfect for dedication to lifting (especially if you don't lift for a living, but when all the dots are graphed out you want to see a steady incline in spite of the pitfalls. Keep training

And what is the point of taking supplements just to perform if they will give you worse health in close or distant future? Health must come first is my opinion. But if you want to ruin your mitocondrias and other stuff by high protein consumtion and other stuff it is your choice. Also to maintain the optimal combination of musclemass and bodyfat compared to your weight for optimal health must be a priority. To look on everything so it wount make your health worse in any way.
