[ASHWAGANDHA] BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE (BOGO! After 40, supplements don’t work the same way they did in your 20s. And most supplement advice online is either outdated, overhyped, or completely disconnected from the science of aging. In this video, I’m breaking down five supplements most men over 40 aren’t takingbut probably should. Science-backed supplements that support what actually matters after 40. Better recovery, healthier hormones, improved sleep, reduced stress, and the ability to keep building muscle without burning yourself into the ground. And make sure you watch until the end, because number three is one of the bestand most commonly fakedsupplements out there, and I believe every man over 40 should be taking the real thing. You know what the problem is with all these supplements even if they do marginally work, they cost a fortune. And so then comes the question do we take these for the rest of our lives Cause when we stop we go back to feeling less optimal. Are the minimal effects worth it If you think you have low testosterone, get your levels checked and go to a doctor, otherwise I wouldnt waste my money on these supplements, except maybe omega en vit D if you dont get lots of sun.

I can't find any scientific evidence for the efficacy of Rhodiola. I take a multivitamin everyday and Creatine but have no evidence it does anything. Even Protein is a far distance 2nd to actual hard workouts at the gym. I am not a bodybuilder, just a 65 year old strength trainer. I rarely ever got sick not taking supplements and I rarely get sick taking them. My strength goes up according to how much rest I get between work outs.

D3.
Mag. Correct.
Creatine.
NAC. dunno; will find out soon.
Others you list; dunno. Maybe good for some, but not for others. Glad you mentioned them.
His list Maybe good for him, or maybe promoting $$$ in the future. Not listing creatine is a red-flag to me.
HMB seems to be working well for me.
Going to test out NAC currently. danluther1741

Unless you are specifically low in testosterone, taking ashwagandha and tongkat ali can cause acne breakouts, especially on upper back and scalp. It's not fun: it feels like the first signs of shingles! If your testosterone levels are good, don't waste your money on supplementsthey'll just cause problems.

Ive taken tart cherry for yearsworks as you said. Ashwaganda for a few years. Tongkat ali didnt do anything for me. Rodeola (spelling) will look into it. But i already take a high quality fish oil and D3 and K2. Zinc. Magnesium threonate. Im 56 and feel 30.
reply

Problem with all these sups is that its hard to find out which products have enough. Honestly it's better to avoid most of them unless you have 100% the proof that the product you are buying actually has the required amounts
Tongkat is even banned here lol

reply

Thanks for this video. But you recommande tongkat ali (AKA LONGJACK) for testosterone but when you compare it to ashwaganda, it seems to be poorly effective. It's not really coherent.
reply

The Ashwagandha and Tongkat Ali studies you cited contradict each other; which is why people need to do their own research and not rely on random influencers spouting nonsense for clicks on YT.

TRT is what most folks are using at the gym. legally or illegally it actually works. most really yolked people r using more advanced meds. just check your bloodwork.
reply

I would definitely stay away from fish oils and ashwaganda and rather use zinc, magnesium, K2/D3, C and B vitamins and creatine paired with collagen or glycine.
reply

Bro is spot on correct as always. Just don't expect miracles or life changing crap. Just a 5-10% improvement at best i'd say. Tried them ALL for literally decades now.
reply

Ashwaganda should not be taken if you are on blood pressure meds.
Omega 3 should come from food. Supplements of omega 3 are known to cause inflammation.

Just how many supplements should a man over 40 take. At this rate they will need an entire cabinate full of supplements and pop pills every 30 min to 1hr.
reply

Bullshido. Eat red meat, animal fats and eggs. From time to time get beef liver for extra vitamins. And reduce sugar, carbs, seed oils and other junk food

Animal pak, creatine, beta alanine and pre workoutworks for me find what works for youyou can tell if you’re gaining muscle or fat
