Hi. I was born with a club foot which was operated upon. So I have zero mobility in one ankle of mine which is stuck in a 90degree position. It atrophied my calf.
So that leaves me with one normal leg and one very weak leg which I can't bring to pointy-toe position because I can't move my ankle.
This non-symmetry leaves me with a skewed kick which takes me all around the place. I have no balance.
This leaves my feet sinking, and my lack of balance makes it extremely difficult to learn how to breathe in the freestyle position.
Can anyone please help? I'm supposed to swim daily to help relax my scoliosis affected spine. Yeah. I'm fked

Hi! Im a dancer and i was thinking about replacing my regular gym workouts with a good swimming session. I just go to the gym because i like it, just to keep in everything in check and sometimes work on something specific if i feel like i need it so since i dont have a particular goal i was thinking swimming would be more fun! Although i would still like to target more some areas so i can make that time as useful as posdible for me. What would the best stroke be to target more the adductors, hamstrings and core? (i know all of these will be used a lot in every stroke but is there one where they are tha main star)

Your instructions are very helpful. Thanks for posting. I have been swimming my whole life and was even on the swim team in high school. But I was always held back because of my breathing. I try to exhale in the water but always end up exhaling and inhaling when I turn my head to breathe. It doesnt feel right or as though Im getting a real breathe if I exhale in water only. Will this get easier with practice?
Your other tips Are great and very helpful. Its like having my own swim coach.

You are the best coach ever. I fallow all your indications to the point that when I hired my private coach, he told me I will be with perfect technic in one month.
I need to better my high elbow technic. Would be great if you can do a video just about this.
Thank you so much!

Learning how to swim right now as an adult, and I've been struggling with my breathing and when to turn my head to take a breath without swallowing water. Thank you for this video- and for the underwater footage!

My swimming has improved a lot when I was lucky enough to watch your videos, it's very helpful, but it's been a long time since I watched your new video. I am from Vietnam, thank you very much.

Hi Evgeny,
The timing of your kick is amazing. It seems to be the key to everything in giving your arm pull efficient power and rotational energy. How can I achieve your perfect timing?

Great video - thanks! So I gather that the dry-land demo at 4: 35 is showing the WRONG behavior - is this correct? (If it is, please add a Wrong label there for clarity)

Does your head turn to breathe or is the head rotating along with the body? Also does your hips and body rotate with every stroke or only the right side to breathe?

Thank you for posting, as a beginner swimmer this takes alot of the pressure off and this checklist is easy to remember while you are in the water.
