Okay, I've watched a lot of dark ride ride-throughs of these Dubai parks and I have to say -- this is one of the BETTER ones. Yes, a lot of wasted real estate, but I like that there was a narrative idea that made the ride unique (Shrek and Fiona putting on a puppet show, and then the majority of the ride is us going through a large version of that puppet show. For a Dubai ride, there was a lot of character movement. It's like they took someone who was an assistant to a Disney Imagineer and made that person their rides director. On the surface, it looks like something that would be at a Disney Park. just not quite as good.

I think it's clever that they made most of the ride a puppet show. When this is the first Motiongate ride someone ever goes on, they can briefly think that they made it look cheap as a purely stylistic choice, instead of having to actually make it cheap after blowing their budget on trackless vehicles for the umpteenth time.

It looks decent but the timing is a little off for the second cart of people it should just be closer to the other one or the ride will stop here and there for the other cart to catch up but other than that I'd actually like to ride this it's very detailed you can tell they put some work into this

i mean (somebody once told me) about this ride. and said that my (world is gonna roll me. but me being (not the sharpest toll in the shed, that itd be worth a go. althugh in line i met this girl who was (lookin kinda dumb, with her finger and her thumb in the shape of an L on her forehead)

Unfortunate that they went and put the ending song and not all star rip like, i understand why they did it but this entire ride seems so rushed and like lazy ig? They couldve made real, good looking, well made, anamatronics instead of making the entire ride a puppet show; -;

This ride looks so empty and the immersion is lazy. There were so many times I could see the tracks and rods the static animatronics were on. There was so much potential for this ride and it's extremely bland, long, and uninspired.

All these people in the comments complaining, I've never even seen this ride before and I thought it was pretty in depth for an 8 minute ride having to cliff notes a what 1hr 30- 2 hour movie they did pretty good in my opinion.

the puppet aspect was a somewhat clever way to excuse the animatronics looking odd/cheap. but the ride is seriously lacking in distinct visuals and has way too much empty space.

So since everyone else pointed out how terrible the ride is all ill say is I just noticed that the damn singing puppets thing is a literal recreation of the its a small world song
reply

those voices don't sound authentic. one thing positive i'll say is the visual gag of having animatronics from the middle ages be wooden puppets. that was cute
