Magic Kingdom Splash Mountain Ride-through - Walt Disney World

[HD POV] Which Disney Park has the BEST Splash Mountain? Disneyland or Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World? Full Splash Mountain 2014 ride-through at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. I personally think Magic Kingdom has the best Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain is a log flume-style dark ride at Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, and the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort, based on the characters, stories, and songs from the 1946 Disney film Song of the South. Although there are variations in the story and features between the three locations, each installation begins with a peaceful outdoor float-through that leads to indoor dark ride segments, with a climactic steep drop into a briar patch followed by an indoor finale. The drop is 53 feet. - Wikipedia I truly think this is the World's number one log ride.

So, when will they get rid of this ride? I find it hilarious that they're changing a single small moment in Pirates EVEN THOUGH IT IS HISTORICALLY ACCURATE AND STILL GOES ON AMONG THE PIRATES OF TODAY because being PC is apparently awesome, history be damned, but are keeping an entire ride based on one of the most reviled movies ever made that never held up even by the time the 60s came around. Hell, why don't they change the name to Morally Ambiguous Citizens of the Caribbean? I'm sure the term pirate is offensive to someone out there. and how is bidding on a wife more controversial than racism? Especially after ABC, a company owned by Disney, literally JUST cancelled a HUGE ratings boost for the network based on a racist tweet from a big name star.

I think, whichever you grew up with might be your favorite. I grew up with the Magic Kingdom. I know the music from that one better. Disneyland has the smaller logs and tighter turns in the ride. it's smaller. Magic Kingdom's logs are bigger and more comfortable which necessitates larger bends in the river, and it makes the ride feel more spacious. But, I could totally understand someone preferring the Disneyland version if that's what you first came to know

Does this ride still exist in 2018? With all the hoopla over the Bride Scene in Pirates, I just assumed this ride would be permanently closed because of racism. After all, the stories in Song of the South are directly stolen from African-American tales of brutalization at the hands of evil white people. Surely the Disney Corp doesn't celebrate the slavery of black people?

I love both, but I gotta say Magic Kingdom. Disneyland was the prototype and this version really had a larger budget and perfected everything. It also tells a more defined story arc. I love Disneyland's but this is the best ride at WDW, hands down. It's also the longest thrill ride.

I honestly never have been to Disneyland to go on that version of Splash Mountain, just WDWs version. However, I have heard the soundtrack and prefer the ride concept of WDW and DL's version of the soundtrack considering you have one extra song - Burrows Lament/Sooner Or Later

I have literally always DESPISED this ride. I love the scenery and all but I cry everytime we get to any drops because I'm afraid of them- yet for some reason no one else I go with is scared of it so they force me to go on it anyways =-=Whyyyy

I like Walt Disney World's because their seating arrangement is more comfortable and easy. But I like Disneyland's because it is more critter/song-of-the-South themed rather than frontier themed like Disney World.

Can someone help me to understand something. How many Disney parks are there in America and what are their names because everyone is referring to one as Disneyland but I thought that was in Paris?
reply

I never been on the one in dw but I been on Disneyland version I like the one person per row better then the two seater my opinion but the music sounds weird then the one in Disneyland

I'm going to magic kingdom tomorrow and i am exciting to go on this again it's been like a year and a half( yeah i know that doesn't sound to long but i miss splash mountain)
