It always takes me off guard just how fluid the motions of these robots are. If you take a look at Chuck E. Cheese's or Rainforest Cafe animatronics, you can see how every movement is jolty and robotic, the whole animatronic jolts when initiating or ending a movement and it makes it obvious that they are robots. But the Audio Animatronics? They move as fluidly as a living thing, no jolting, and yet they still appear to have a wide range of movement. The only problem is that the lip syncing doesn't always work correctly and has a sort of disconnect. Then you have to look at the fact that Audio Animatronics were invented by the imagineers ages ago If you look at old recordings of the now-extinct attraction America Sings (which is famous for the accident that took place there, you can watch that even back in 1980 these robots had fluid movements. Actually, it was invented in 1963 The Enchanted Tiki Room (which is if I remember correctly, the very first attraction to use the Audio Animatronics) and The Haunted Mansion are two other examples of the mind blowing technology. Then there's the new roll out of this technology, with the Seven Dwarfs Mining attraction and the Inside Out characters, featuring more realistic less-uncanny-valley expressions. Or the Autonomatronics that premiered at the 2009 D23 that have an interactive software. Amazing to see just how important the Disney Imagineers are for the robot industry, concidering that Disney at first glance merely makes movies and shows.

blonded
an inside out attraction would be dope, though I didn't really like Inside Outs movie. Very clever concept, just not done as well as I would've thought.

I wish they'd bring Joy and Sadness over to Disneyland. My family and I are going there for my graduation gift and I'd love to hug those two

This weirdly reminds me of FNAF. Mostly because they're animatronics. Yeah. I'm strange. But people love me for that. I'm strange, but funny.
