I live in Orlando and work for Disney and am a MAJOR fan of the one we have here in Orlando. That being said, the original is FAR SUPERIOR in Disneyland in my opinion because it has Disney's personal touch (one of the last attractions he personally supervised, 2 drops, and for me, just has alot of cute details before and after the ride that just makes things come together. The ride is also a fair amount longer and has alot more details and things to look at during the experience.

Does anyone know why Disney chose the Caribbean even though New Orleans is gulf coast? There was a very interesting pirate culture on the 19th century TX/LA coast that included Alamo fighter Jim Bowie and of course Lafitte. Heck Galveston TX had a lot of pirates. I think it would've been a better match for New Orleans square.

Videos like this can be very important to me, my mom is unable to attend Disneyland her arthritis is so bad, she can never go again. She can barely walk at all. We used to go to Disneyland as a family, and she misses it do much. But this does help her to see the ride, in good detail. We remember good family time's. Thank you so much: -)

My favorite non roller coaster trill ride. So much in the way of storytelling and attention to detail. You MUST also enjoy lunch or dinner in the Blue Bayou Restaurant. As you ride through the first part of the ride, you can smell the Cajun cuisine the nearby guests are enjoying. Make reservations though.

My question is what kind of camera did you use to record this low light video. It looks amazing and you see a lot of the details that you really can't see with the naked eye when you were on the ride. I swear every time I go to the park it seems like the rides get dimmer and dimmer.

I was/am? a total Disney-geek, and back in High School, I would have flipped my shit to find a video this good of quality. I'm taking my son there for the first time next month, and he is so excited to go now after watching these videos. Thanks dude

They've changed the boats a little bit. Some of the boats have these plastic handles with little indents in them so you can grip on to. But some of them still have the metal bars. I personally like the metal bars better.

Nice Video. Seems they were really cranking out the boats fast though (High volume day. I prefer the solitude without distractions from other boats. Still very, very nice.
