[Excellent Low Light] A Full Tower of Terror Ride through at Disney California Adventure. Tower of Terror will shut its door on January 2, 2017 to make way for a new Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout ride. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, commonly known as Tower of Terror, is an accelerated drop tower dark ride located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney California Adventure, Tokyo DisneySea and Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris. Exempting the Tokyo version, all the attractions are based upon Rod Serling's CBS television anthology series, The Twilight Zone, and take place in the fictional Hollywood Tower Hotel, in Hollywood, California. The Tokyo version, which features an original storyline not derived from The Twilight Zone, takes place in the fictional Hotel Hightower. Nevertheless, all four versions place riders in a vehicle themed as a seemingly ordinary hotel elevator, and present riders with a fictional back story in which people mysteriously disappeared from a hotel elevator under the influence of some supernatural element many years prior. - Wikipedia and Disney's websites

God. I still remember the first (and only time) I ever went on that ride. It was at the Anaheim location, during the Halloween event. I'm terrified of heights, absolutely terrified, but my sisters convinced me to go it with them and their friends. When I got on and felt the ride go backwards, all I kept thinking was oh god, I've made a huge mistake. I think we still have the pictures of it, but all I know is that the disney worker must've seen how absolutely terrified I was or maybe my face went pale, because he immediately rushed me to sit down and got me a water bottle, asking if I was okay and if I needed any medical attention. I think I said something to the effect of no, but now I know to never go on this ride again (of course I said that while laughing. Still, even after all these years, I wish I had gone again, to experience it once last time. Oh well. Thanks for posting the video. It reminded me of how amazing it was.

I dont get the complain of people trying to save this watered down version compared to the Orlando's Twilight zone, if Disneyland is gonna make their version of an existing ride, they should at least add something to make it diferent, cause lets be honest, the DCA version of the twilight zone always felt like a half experience, and i get the feeling that whit a guardians redesign it will help to have a diferent take of the drop out ride, im not saying it will be better, but it will be unique for Disneyland, plus random drops.

Great job replacing a classic and classy ride with a trash movie and a ride that is as incoherent as it is idiotic. You can't even hear the dialogue of the people talking throughout the attraction. It's like the ride has ADHD. The hallway scene in Tower of Terror which was beautiful and creepy is just a room with a sloppy machine and barely decorated screens. Marvel is awful, and I'm so disappointed in Disney.

The lady who escorted them on and off wasn't that into her role as a creepy hotel employee. When I went we had this really cool guy who did an awesome job of giving instructions and being creepy. It added to the thrill of getting on the ride and matched the theme of the hotel. When the doors were closing he made this really creepy grin that gave us the creeps It was amazing

I don't know what to say. I'm glad that it's closing, cuz. um. let's just say I had nightmares after the elevator ride. but I'm sad. even though I shed a few tears and closed my eyes the whole time. I don't wanna see the greatest attraction at Hollywood Studios Disney get closed.

That looks scary Watching a documentary about this ride apparently it was going to be a hotel but never was one, instead turned it into this ride, but according the theory during construction someone was killed during the building of this site, so its said its genuinely haunted.

a cheap version of Florida's version (the best and only one) - AND now they will change DCA's cheap version to a space tower with aliens. ---mmmmm - Hey, Disneyland has the original long best version of Pirates of the Caribbean and Florida got the cheap short version of it.

F you Disney. F you. I could rant for ages about why this ride is so much better than the crappy ride you are about to put in its place. I'm just ashamed. First Aladdin, then Soarin', now this? Open your eyes, Disney, you're making mistakes. #SaveTheTowerOfTerror

Nice vid, I went on the tower today, I've gone to Disneyland many times but was always to chicken to do it before. But since they're closing it I figured I had to try it, and it was so worth it Really glad I got to experience it before it's gone.
