Full Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure Ride-through at the new Shanghai Disneyland. If you guys have the chance to visit Shanghai in the future, definitely visit Shanghai Disneyland, it truly amazing to experience it live. A day ticket to the park is very affordable ranging from 55 to 75 per person depending on the day you go. Off-season will be cheaper at about 55.

Boy, the technology of this. It's my favorite of all the Pirates rides. I haven't seen Paris's but Tokyo's is boring next to this. But I don't like the skeleton dog and men in the skeleton prisoners. Just creeps me out a bit. Xi Xi for sharing this with us. So very clever. I grew up in southern California and we went to Disneyland every year. That's when Mr. Disney was alive. He had very strict standards. Like no Disney products were sold out of Disneyland. So when you saw a Disney T-shirt in Hong Kong you knew it was bought in Disneyland and there was only one. And you couldn't bring in food. You had to buy it in the park. And it was kept very clean as there were an army of street cleaners in the streets. And he made a new ride every year to keep it exciting and people coming back. I moved and lived in the Bay Area when I was a senior in High School and the parents rented a plane and sent us all down there And Disneyland that night was only for High School seniors. No one else was allowed in the park. It was so fun. We were all exhausted by the time we got on the plane to go back but that didn't matter. My favorite ride at one time was, Captain Emo, with Michael Jackson. The music was great and at the right moment cool steam came out into the audience as well as a holographic bird that flew over the audience. The last time I saw that there wasn't many people and it closed not long after. I can't help but wonder what Mr. Disney would have thought about this Disneyland. I think he would have enjoyed this ride. Especially when the ships go up to the surface and you go with them. Brilliant. This should have gotten some kind of award for everything it is. Thank so much for sharing. :) Songs

I went on the ride this week for the first time and some of my favorite things cant be translated in this video. I love the seaweed gently moving in the water in the room right before you see the two crewmen in stocks and the treasure Looks just like it would in real life swaying with the waves There is also a splash of water when Davy Jones ship surges out of the water And lastly, the boat moves at different speeds and directions that make it feel more authentic and unique than just a simple water boat ride You feel the thrust of moving down and up and forward which is amazing in person

Meh. I like the original Disneyland ride better than this projections on a screen crap. Some of it was cool, but I felt like I was fast forwarding through the movie. Nope. Give me the animatronics, the Pirate's song, and the non PC version of the original ride. It blows this garbage out of the water. You see, with the original one I could sing along to the Pirate's theme throughout the ride. I felt like one of the Pirates as I journeyed through a piece of their world. This version just sped me along as I watched renditions of the POTC movie. Where's the magic in that?

Just made my first visit ever to the Shanghai resort, and this ride really is the best overall attraction that Ive ever seen from Disney. (Ive been to every Disney resort except Paris. The sound system, ride system, and amazing animatronics, combined with the screen projections, are just all orchestrated so perfectly. Im a huge fan of the original Pirates ride at Disneyland in California, but if I set nostalgia aside, Shanghais version is my clear favorite. This video, while very well done, cant fully capture the experience. Its absolutely amazing.

Graphics was cool but I prefer DL's and WDW's. It gave me that feeling of it's a pirate's life for me all the pirates pillaging and plundering and seeing Jack Sparrow's goofy self hiding around is my cup of tea. Not underming the imagineers' work, the SFX, the graphics and last but not least, the ANIMATRONICS was completely incredible But I guess growing up with animatronics than screens, the animatronics makes it seem so real to me. (Not hating, I'm just puting in my 50 cents

Eh, the screens and the not super great CGI and so much of the ride going through boats) with nothing really happening and nothing to look at, eh. The effect the skeleton turning into Jack was REALLY cool, though. Also I liked that the last Jack animatronic seemed to be reacting to the applause? (Just a coincidence, I know; but still, it was funny)

Personally, I still prefer the original Pirates rides. Sure, that screen looks cool, but to be frank, (imo) this ride would've been better with more practical effects (like more animatronics) and less reliance on projections. However, I cannot deny, that Skeleton trick at the beginning was damn impressive Kudos to imagineering for figuring that out.

the beginning seems kinda as meh as the original pirates at first, but once you get past the skeletons and get to jones and sparrow, this ride becomes amazing. Also great that we get to see the kracken in its full glory here. And the army of ships is an epic touch too. overall, this ride looks better than the american versions.

Hmm? I think we're getting robbed in Anaheim; when was the last time Disneyland updated their old rides? I've been on the Pirates of the Caribbean numerous times. it's been some years now, but I doubt that our park has been upgraded yet - our entry price continues going up though.
