Muir Woods // Running in the Redwoods - Mountain trips

The day after skiing in Crater Lake National Park we went for a 24 Mile run on some of the most beautiful trails in Northern California. From redwoods, to mountain top views, and scenic beach this run provides a kaleidoscope of ever changing scenery. The smell of the ocean and the abundance of oxygen must also have had a calming effect on Matt and Christof. It took all the best impatient looks and gestures to get them out of the cafe and off the beach back into the mountains

Great video guys. I suspect a lot more goes on behind the scenes to produce this than we realize. As a nearby resident somewhat familiar with these trails, i was wondering how is it possible you ran 20 miles on some of the bay area's most popular trails (esp. in Muir Woods) and saw hardly a soul? Currently during SIP all those places are buzzing with people, parking near Muir Woods is impossible, and everywhere you go it's people and their dogs (wearing masks) making for a very social, albeit slower, experience. However, again, great video, because it's nice to dream what those trails COULD be like, if I had your level of fitness: -)

Deep breath. big sigh. I really. really. really I hate the beach. It is awful. My wife forces me to go to the beach, and I can't stand it. Sand, crabs, rip tide, half naked fat people you try not to look at, half naked super hotty babes. that you try not to look at, and a whole lot of sitting around wishing I was somewhere else. did I mention I hate the beach? Yeah, it sucks. Bring a good book, and some sun screen, and a chair.

Official Counter: Mediocre Amateur videos since Danny's last puke: 5!
I thought this video had real potential for some action, but alas. Maybe we need Matt and Christof to push harder. maybe more pizza. fruit pies. or Mountain Dew (Oh fat weazy Blake where for art thou) See you next video.

Ive been thoroughly enjoying your videos for a while now so I was stoked to see one from my own backyard. Suggestion for another adventure: Downieville to the fire lookout at the top of the Sierra Buttes, Im already looking forward to that one!

I feel really robbed of some puke footage; seemed nearly inevitable
Also: a visit to Muir Woods helped me finally start to recover from PPD after having my first baby. Wild to see footage of it for the first time since visiting years ago

I dont watch you guys because of the pain and suffering, your physical abilities are beyond my comprehension. I watch because of the camaraderie of good friends, the amazing scenery, and the respect you show for each other and our planet.

Can not go wrong with Dipsea and Tam running. I absolutely love the Dipsea Trail, easily one of the top 3 in all of CA. Even though I HATE lapping things did my first marathon and ultra distance doing the Quad Dipsea unsupported.

Blasting so fast and so far to so many awesome places, cool to see you guys actually enjoying more of it! The beauty of nature both large and small is the best part of it all for me! Well, that and the intense gnar moments! LOL

This MA video may very well be the most interesting one. Prior to the beach, I thought Crystof had been the influence of reason on the group; Danny showed good judgment. Awesome views, excellent editing and video. Thank you

Going in the Pacific for a swim is the craziest thing Ive watched MA do. And yall do a lot of crazy. Went to Muir Woods a few years back. Truly is magical. Like elves or leprechauns will spring out. Loved seeing it again.

Thank you guys for spending a day with us in the Bay Area. Thanks also for not starting your video with why California sucks. So tired of people shit-talking California. Hope they watch this video and get jealous.

Danny: you guys need to revive Blake for 1 episode. We all miss him so maybe u guys can pick something appropriate for him like a walk in the park or the mall, something more his speed. Come on, chop chop!

The lunch break brought on a flashback to The Haute Route once Christof joined Danny; -) What amazes me is how Christof can run after eating a full lunch - that in itself is a feat not acknowledged by most!

The run in it self was impressive but stopping for lunch and then swimming in the cold ocean then getting back on the trail has put you in another level. Much respect. Thanks for taking us along.

Great to see you guys in our neck of the woods! If you're ever in the area again, there's a classic trail, 'skyline to sea' in south bay, 60 miles both ways with 2k feet. Very nice trails.

When was young I would have done that run in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours and not stopped to look at any of the sights. Now I appreciate all the sights now and dont care how long it takes.

In true Mediocre fashion! Lunch and frolicking on the beach. Seriously though you should come run the IMTUF 100 miler in September in Idaho. Might not be mediocre though.

You guys have got me into trail running. So than you. Been an inspiration.
Next one is the coast trail in the Royal National Park- 26km but beautiful (South of SYDNEY.

One day you guys should come to the east coast and run the Adirondacks or the presidential range, I know it's nothing like the west coast but its pretty cool too!

This THIS is the way to get a long run in with friends, when youre in it for the experience and fun and not competing or setting a FKT this is an ideal day outside IMO
