J'aime beaucoups le ville du Quebec! The food is fabulous (not all menus have English translations, Le Chateau Frontenac and Dufferin Terrasse are not to be missed - even if just for tea or a drink. The ferry to the fjord north of town, past the beautiful falls is also great. A real European experience, and it does help if you speak a bit of French. The smaller size makes it more approachable than Montreal, butvI like both cities. I do hope QC gets their Nordiques back, as well as Montreal getting the Expos back (just not a the Big O. I went to Winter Carnival once, and the Ice Hotel and Ice Bar are great. Enjoy! Merci et au revoir!

Just booked a 3-4 days vacation there, although. I do live 3 hours away from Quebec City haha. Still, rented a loft in the heart of Old Quebec. And this is whats cool with Quebec city, as you said, it has that europeans feel. So even though I live in the same country, hell, same province. It is still like traveling. haha.
Quebec city, here we come. in 6 months, cause I booked earlier, thanks to your tips: ) Saved myself 160$ per night by doing that.

hey a lot closer to me than Paris it is and the architecture in Montreal from pictures looks very modern and I don't like it. I wouldn't mind going to Paris but it's expensive and Montreal's only a little bit over 1, 200 miles from where I'm at and I can drive there. I'm a bit afraid of heights so I'm funny about going on airplanes. actually I think I will go there sometime this year thank you sir

Quebec is the first major city that developed in Canada, which is why it's the most European in North America. It is beautiful and also very safe. The only downside is that you might struggle to interact with people because a lot of them don't speak English whatsoever, even for customer service. Sometimes they have one person who does speak English in the store or restaurant.

if you want to get a very important piece of north america history, get a guided tour of the plaines d'Abrahams where Wolf and Montcalm battle ended with the victory of the English army over the French army, which totally changed the history

Just got back from a Quebec City getaway. It really is an amazing city. It's a shame that you don't mention the Montmorency Falls. It is definitely worth a visit.
