Travel Q&A from Rome - Where to Go, How to Pay & SHARKS! - Wolters World
video description
My tip: While approaching both the Coliseum and Vatican, we were asked numerous times if we wanted an English speaking guide, tickets, etc. At the Vatican, some Italian soldiers even became involved in directing a couple of pushy sales people away from tourists. Buy tickets online; know where you're going; and just say no to anyone that approaches you trying to sell you tickets. Unfortunately, St. Peter's Basilica has a line since advance passes can't be purchased, but you're also not bothered while in line by the previously mentioned sales people.

Hi again Mark!
I have a request (and I hope I haven't just overlooked a relevant video. you love your food and your beer. So do I. :) Can you list some of your most memorable meals / tipples? I'd love to have some recommendations - not so much specific restaurants (though I did take your advice on the Maison des Tanneurs in Strasbourg - WOW! Food heaven, but perhaps more regional specialties that are maybe underrated? :)
And with the beer - let's get specific about varieties! (I also took your advice in Bamberg with the Schenkerla Rauch Bier - the most interesting beer I've ever had, and boy did it go well with that 'Bamberg Onion', which was basically an onion skin stuffed with sausage meat and topped with bacon. SPITZE. :)
Anyway, as a huge Wolter's World fan, I'd love to see some cuisine-specific vids! :)
Merci vielmal! :)

Walter. My wife and I are traveling to Rome --> Spain --> Portugal on June 1 of this year. We are spending two weeks. How can I get - a) travel guide for each city, b) some scenarios of options. We LOVE wine and food and want to be with locals most of the time to understand the culture - not too much into touristy things. Is there a service you recommend that I can pay to get what I'm looking for? Thanks!

I'm travelling with my Mom to Europe in May. We are taking a 7 day cruise and will see Rome, Florence, Cannes, Naples, Palma Majorca, and Barcelona. I wanted to fly into Paris a few days before the trip, but she has become apprehensive because of the recent terrorist attacks. Since you recently visited Paris, did you feel safe? Do you think we should avoid Paris?

Do you typically use the same airline for your flights? Are their airlines you tend to stay away from? My husband and I are going to Norway & Sweden next year and Norwegian air has some great deals but some of their reviews leave me nervous (it doesn't help that I'm a big scary cat when it comes to flying. Love the videos they have been a huge help!

I have been watching your videos for a while now. But this question an answer from Rome was really helpful. I am planning a two month vacation to Europe but really didn't have a plan of exactly what I wanted to do. You have inspired me to figure outwhat it is I want to see in each city. Thank you so much

We have flights covered through benefits. How can we still get good deals on hotels while we're there? Since we won't be able to book in advance, I've heard of an app we can use. But it's our honey moon and that makes me hesitant. Any advice?

I'm your household who books the holidays? In my household my wife always books because she has a knack to finding the cheapest cheapest deal! On our last holiday the departure airport was different to our return airport to save cash!

Love your vids. Just found you a few weeks ago. Keep up the awesome job.
Not sure if you have a video on this, but how did you learn so many languages? Any suggestions for anyone trying to learn new languages? Thanks
