I was just there last week! The Residence is amazing, but should come with some warnings. for a start it is HUGE and it takes a long time to get through. Also, they don't allow 'large' bags. I had a purse, and didn't think it was all that big. But apparently if it's as big as an A4 paper, it's too big. I also went to Salzburg for a day during my stay in Munich. The Fortress is WONDERFUL! On a clear day, you can see for miles and miles. Oktoberfest is fun. I went early and got a seat in the Hacker-Pschorr tent, so beautiful. Also for Oktoberfest you can't bring a large bag. Security cracked down on that too.

Thanks for what you do - such great tips! Just got back from Munich and had a fantastic time with my family! Headed to Oberammergau - wouldn't have know it existed but for your video. Our day in the alps was one of the highlights of our time there! Thanks again - keep it up!
