We were disappointed with the streetcars from our trip last week. They DO NOT come by every 10 minutes or less as said in this video. They stop every half hour, which isnt very convenient. Also, they do not run the entire length on Canal St. We went to board a streetcar, and the driver told us to take a bus. Later, we tried another streetcar and rode it for two blocks until the driver told everyone to get off. Then she pointed up ahead and said if we want to continue on Canal St then we need to walk 4-5 blocks to the streetcars that we could see ahead of us. This video was helpful about the Jazzy Pass, but the streetcar schedules and routes were a disappointment.

We stayed in an Air B&B off St Charles st right in front of a Street Car stop and we had the best time. The NOLA is one of the greatest cities in the world in my opinion. $3 for an all day trolley pass is hard to beat. They don't take you everywhere but they do take you where you need to go. The fact that they run all night and as long as you aren't belligerent you can be pretty smashed on the trolley. They even let me and my wife on board with our drinks. Just be nice to the drivers and they will remember you.

I love your videos! I'm trying to save up for the next 5 years, and after I'm done with college I'm going to quit my job, and hit the road, and travel for 2-3 years straight. Watching your videos is really helping me get an insight into traveling, and what I need to be prepared for. Keep up the videos!

My mom is from a suburb of New Orleans amd I grew up less than an hour from the city, yet I still dont know how to board a trolley (edit- is trolly a NOLA/LA term? I noticed that almost no one uses that term in the comments, they say street car)

Ive been to NOLA before but havent taken the streetcar. I dont know where to find the streetcars for the route I want. For example, where do you pick up the streetcar to go to the Garden District from the French Quarter?

I would love if you did more how tos for country (city) specific public transportation like this video, such as how to use public transport in Amsterdam/The Netherlands, or Brussels/Belgium. Thanks for the great videos!

Who carries a dollar in quarters around?
has $10 worth from the last two visits to the US - great for the streetcars (but be quick about it) or laundromats like Suds Dem Duds on Bourbon.

Fantastic! You forgot to mention the best deal on the street car is the senior cost is $0. 40. Keep making your great videos. You are great but your wife and kids also do a wonderful job.

The red streetcars are not the original streetcars - they are ADA compliant replicas built in 1997, and rebuilt in 2009 after being seriously damaged in flooding during hurricane Katrina
