What he didn't tell you is you can't flush tissue down the toilet. There is a waste basket situated by the toilet. I noticed in Belize City drainage ditches where sewage ran along the side of the streets. Sounds unpleasant but it is still a beautiful country. I got to experience Mayan ruins, snorkeling in Caye Caulker, and attended the Carnival for Independence Day in Orangewalk. Can't wait to go again.

it is safe no doubt about it. we are in San Ignacio now. Every where we go you see women and kids walking along streets and roads, even after dark. BTW locals are saying the rainy season is changing. Today 10/7/19 was the first day with rain since we got here four days ago. The food is awesome. My favorite is the spicy onion soup with chicken

So this is what Americans interest when coming to Belize? Internet, how are the plugs and best time to eat? Sorry. but you will never understand the beauty of nature in this country. You just do your city stuff while on an island. Sad.

Does anyone have a recommendation for what type of suitcase to pack? Were looking at staying at Caye Caulker. Would a rolling suitcase be challenging on the roads there? Or is a backpack suitcase best advised?

My best friend and I are trying to move to Belize for a year but we have no idea where to get started. I know it seems crazy but we are just trying to drop everything and go. Do you have any advice?

This video looks great and good information BUT!
IN TODAY'S WORLD WITH THE COVID-19 I'M SURE EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED WHO CAN ENJOY GOING TO THE BEACH WITH A MASK ON AND EXPLORING ON YOUR OWN

Thank you for a very informative video. I am heading there in the 2nd week of Nov. Want to ask you if we can rent scooters there. Like 50 cc or so.
Reply at your convenience.
Thank you.

Belize is so laid back and relaxing. I stayed on Amber Gris Caye outside San Pedro a while back. Great people, great food and a wonderfully relaxed lifestyle. Great place to go to unplug.

Did you guys do the Rio On Pools? Tricky, maybe, with little kids, but I (not a particularly adventurous older lady) have never had so much fun. Best day ever!
