The one about service is one that I like I don't like when I'm on holiday enjoying my scenery and stuff to constantly have someone come by asked Ng is everything ok is it good. Like 10 times during 1 meal I prefer to only see my wiring staff only before and after my meal and I can always raise my hand if you need something. But it's usually only in antwerp Brussels and Brugge the big tourist places. If you go to smaller city's with less tourism where I live for example the service is a lot more hands on Wich I don't really like I grew up in anywerp so I was used to not really talking to me as much so it was bit weird to come live in Wuustwezel where they almost know everyone. My partners fav. Restaurant know us by name cause he's been going there since he was 12

hi i'm from Bruges,
you said it's really expensive but that's just the grote markt it really is expensive there.
but if you go anywhere else less touristy you will pay the 'normal' prices
also we have a bus route from the train station to the grote markt, locals with bikes, truck drivers.
it is really anoying for the locals to get somewhere without stopping every 5 meters for tourist that don't pay attention and crossing the street
loved the video: )

So funny to me to hear Americans say things are so close together, whereas we Belgians feel like anything that's more than 45 mins away is too far lol. An actual accepted excuse for us not seeing our extended family more than twice a year is 'They're in Brussels though. ' and people will just nod like they get it. Brussels is only a 30 min drive from Antwerp where I live: p

If you visit Brugge and you find yourself with nothing to do; head to the bus station and you can take a 15-20 minutes bus ride to a beautiful little village across the border in the Netherlands called Sluis, you will really like it. It's cheap and quite rural so you can enjoy a nice country walk and it costs 5 Euros for a return journey

The most important thing to remember when visiting Bruges: NEVER go drink or eat something on the 'Grote Markt'. You just pay too much for your drinks and low quality food, they're not friendly and most of all: they don't even care about it.

Just imagine. There would be double the amount of tourists if our waiting staff was friendly, nobody charged exuberant prices and we didn't constantly try to run them over. So we are actually helping tourists by doing all of those things; -)

I regularly visit Brugee from England as we have direct ferries. When I come for three days - I use one day to take the bus from Brugee to a town in Netherlands called Sluis, 20 minutes on the bus and I bring back shopping.

Isn't it funny you complain about busses and bikes in the streets, but everyone is just walking on the road, crossing the road without even looking out for bikes or busses. It's kind of hypocrisy in that complaint.

I went to Brugge about 30 years ago. Busy but not bad. What I remember the most is the smell of sewage. In areas it runs right under the walkways raw. 1 breeze and it's nasty.
