Cheyenne: What to See & Do in Cheyenne, Wyoming - Wolters World David: We live here in Cheyenne, and there are so many things to recommend a visit to Wyoming. We've been all over the western states and they all have beautiful sights, great hunting, fishing and recreation possibilities. Wyoming's different, however. As you touched on, it's the people who make Wyoming (including Cheyenne) great. We raised both of our daughters here and they both married great Wyoming men, and we have four great Wyoming Grandchildren! Very little crime and great people make living here a real joy

Forgot to mention is the botanic garden its pretty awesome and its free and Terry bison ranch if you want to see a Buffalo herd. Also the Air Force base sometimes have events that are open to the public like in July they had an air show that was pretty freaking awesome to say the least. And downtown has quite a few events as well so keep your eyes out for those as well. Oh and the state museum is free to visit its on the small side but still very interesting and with a visit!

FYI if you drive through Wyoming plan ahead because towns are hours apart so fuel can be critical. Lots of WILDLIFE not cuddly pets keep your distance or risk your life. Having lived in Wyoming 10 years I've seen it snow in each month of the year. The wind probably will catch people off guard. Also obey the speed limit they don't tolerate those over 5mph and they have digital speed limit signs that are adjusted to road conditions for your safety.

I want to say that I was just there last week. My son and I did the aquatic center, with a reservation, and it was WONDERFUL! 5 dollars for a two hour session. Water slides, lazy river, and pools with diving boards. It was so fun and good indoor activity. Also, Curt Gowdy State Park is close and we hiked there to hidden falls. Easy and fun hike. I love Cheyenne!

Went to a wedding near Cheyenne during the same week of Frontier Days. Flew into Denver, checked out Boulder and thought about hanging out in Cheyenne for a bit. Nope. Place was overrun as you highlighted. We ended up going to Laramie just to grab dinner!

I Moved to chugwater wyoming from NY 8 years ago and would never go back. Started a concrete company. The state has plenty of work but not a lot of skilled labor. So of you move here plan on doing everything your self.

It would be interesting if you did follow up vids about life/living in Cheyenne (as well as other places, that includes interviews with both locals and transplants. But I suppose that is outside your Youtuber niche.

Lived near Cheyenne for over 23 years. Left in 1995. I miss Cheyenne and Wyoming everyday. Made two visits but one day hope to reside in Cheyenne once more. Boy, the place has sure changed!
