we head to Bathtub Beach in Stuart, Florida to try to swim with sharks! We take a look at the water from overhead with a drone to try see if we can see where the sharks are. We did catch footage of a shark with the drone but didn't realize it until we got home and reviewed the footage. We also caught some footage of a barracuda and a tarpon! Ding dang! The drone footage turned out pretty awesome though! Then we head into the water to snorkel. We saw lots of fish even though the visibility was pretty low. At the end of the day I was pummeled by some waves and headed straight into the rocks, I got some scrapes and cuts but it was still an awesome day at the beach! I hope you enjoyed snorkeling with me today!

Best time to go snorkeling is in the mornings or before sundown, but keep in mind, that's usually when the fish are feeding(think sharks )and in the summer before the tide goes out or the winds kick up. I Really miss the many days I spent snorkeling & free diving in HI, but, after 13 years, I just couldn't live on an island anymore. I'm planning on going to FL in Feb 2021, not sure if the weather will be good for snorkeling that time of year, but I guess I will find out! & I will definitely be checking out the Bathtub Reef. Thanks for the tip Tim: 0)

Tim, this is totally off subject, but have you ever checked into implantable contact lenses? I just learned about them, and I remember your video where you were talking about not being able to have lasix surgery. ICL's are a great alternative for people who aren't good candidates for lasix. It's a 10 min procedure and are replaceable (by the doctor) as your vision changes.

That was so much fun. I really enjoy the underwater adventures. The drone shots were wonderful. I hope you can do more drone videos in other nature areas and parks. It was fun seeing the fish underwater. Remembering when you guys went to see the manatees, maybe you can use the drone there. Thanks!

Just after 6: 24 - am I imagining things, or was there a shark in that footage just super briefly? In the bottom right portion of the screen, swimming fast. Or was that just a very large other type of fish? It looked decent size, whatever it was.

I'm curious, what do Americans call those little Yellow and Black vertical striped fish? I'm not from the US and we play Football (what you call Soccer) and we call them Footballer fish. So obviously you won't call them that.
What do you call them?

Im a local to bathtub reef beach and best time to go would be is slack tide at the highest tide
Another good spot to see a reef is blue heron bridge and peanut island down in west palm

I'm from miami and I used to live in the ocean since I was like 15 minutes away. Now that I live in Orlando I don't go to the beach as much maybe 5 times a year sadly.

Soooo to be honest I like these kind of videos from Tim like that last one with the islands a lot better then just Disney parks over and over that haven't really changed

Jenn the editing in general is always so lush when you guys do the florida adventures. I love the chill wave sort of feel and the gorgeous beach views. So soothing.

I use to go with my grandparents to the beach in Stuart. It's been over 25 years since the last time. I'm so happy to revisit it virtually through you.
