we head to Disney's EPCOT Food & Wine Festival to try food from the newly opened food booths. We tried the cowboy mac & cheese from the Mac & Eats outdoor kitchen, the Korma Chicken and Mango Lassi from the India outdoor kitchen and the Coffee Rubbed Beef from the Kenya outdoor kitchen. Then we took a quick break to talk about and breakdown the new Disney Genie, Genie+ and Lightning Lane info. What are your thoughts about that, let us know in the comments down below! Then we get back into trying the new foods. We tried the raclette cheese from The Alps booth, the charcuterie from the Spain booth and we end the evening with a mango donut of the day from the Donut Box booth. We had a great time trying all the new foods and we can't wait to get back and try more!

Have been going to disneyworld since 1989 and Genie sounds like a good idea. until you get to the paid sections. Cash grab, shameless and unfortunately peoppe will still pay for it and keep lining the pockets of Disney. We got ticket insurance when we booked last year and have turned our Disney tickets in and won't be returning. Plenty more to do in Florida and the US without paying to get in somewhere then paying to do more and more and more when you're in. Its no different to Blackpool pelasure beach when they did wristbands and tokens except they didn't charge an entrance fee.

With regards to Genie. If every guest who enters Magic Kingdom said they like thrill rides etc. Will they all be told the same itinerary? Or is Genie in fact a way Disney can control to some degree the wait times by suggesting to guests whats a short wait and where they should go. If the guests do as suggested, Disney could to some degree control wait times around the parks to make them as short as possible.
reply

The wait times at the moment are probably not to bad because there are no international travellers. Its going to be crazy when the rest of the world can come back as so many people have missed their holiday and cannot wait to get back x

I don't understand the new genie+ system, but will all standby lines still be available for ALL attractions? Will paid guests be able to fairly queue for ROTR in a standy line without a virtual queue?

love to watch your videos could watch all day long. Its great to get ideas of what the food looks and tastes like see the places that would interest us to dine/eat when we travel to Disney.
reply

Considering Disney are creating a class system within the parks, and pricing out regular families altogether, I hope to hear stronger criticism of their greed from all Orlando YouTubers.
reply

So now the lines will be even longer and the wait increase so much because most people dont want that added expense I love Disney but the greed is getting out of hand

How do you know youve watched a lot of the Tim tracker over the years? When you know exactly which Mac and cheese Tim will order before he even decides.

Would you have to pay for genie plus along with paying for a lightening lane OR could you just pay the lightening lane upgrade fee? I assume you need to do both.
reply

it's interesting how Hans Christian Andersen is the original author of many of the fairytales disney has interpreted, but there's no Denmark pavillion in Epcot.
