we head to Walt Disney World's EPCOT Center park to finally try out Disney's Genie+. It cost us $15 and we were able to ride 6 rides in 4 hours. I'm still not sure how I feel about Genie+ as a whole but I was happy to finally be able to try it out for myself. Have you tried it? What did you think about the experience and if you haven't tried it yet, do you think you will on our Disney trip? Let us know in the comments down below. All in all it was a great night at EPCOT and I hope you had fun joining along!

I was thinking that Disney may not open the barber shop while it has a reservation system in place. People who go to the barber shop would be likely those dropping in for an hour or two to get their hair cut and not doing much else. It's not something one typically plans as part of their trip. It's more likely something that DVC members with long stays or annual passholders might use. But if Disney can only allow so many into the park at one time they don't want someone who is just going to drop in for a haircut then leave again. They would also have to implement an appointment system just for the haircuts, and that's on top of having the patrons getting park reservations. They might also have to limit the number of people in the shop at one time, causing people to line up outside. All that could severely limit the number of patrons to the point where it's just not economical to open at this time.

Tim you did a great job of making the Genie app more understandable. My one big issue with the Disney parks is that I feel like you have to book so much in advance and plan all this stuff obsessively and I feel like it's so much stress and anxiety. I like to just wake up and do whatever I feel like and not have all these reservations and all that made months in advance. For me, I feel like going to the Disney parks is best when I can stay very late until closing time and those last two hours are the best, especially since I can do single rider line. So I try to do whatever I think other people aren't doing at that moment. Maybe Genie will help identify what's best to do with the lowest wait at different parts of the day.

I think genie+ is only worth it at MK. I never paid for it. I did pay for a couple of rides flat out that we really wanted to ride like Avatar at AK and we paid for and rode runaway train at HS since it was a first time ride. Alot of people don't realize when you pay for genie+ you can't ride the rides more than 1 time by using genie+ and making reservations. its a one and done deal so if you want to ride a certain ride again after that 1st time using genie+ you have to wait in the standby line. I can see paying for it if its just 1 or 2 people in your party and are there strictly for rides but a family of 3 or more it gets expensive.

Not gonna lie. Through the entire intro I was listening to the background music. It has grown on me since it started. Now I love it. Tim, you did a great job explaining stacking for Genie plus. I loved the cruise vlogs. Keep up the great work. The living with the land overlay is always awesome. And I love the new Spaceship Earth beacon of magic. When I was down there in Oct we added a park hopper just to go to Epcot and see it and Harmonious which is slowly growing on me.

How do the separate lightning passes work? Like do you need to pay for the basic genie+ then get the separate ones or can you just buy the separate ones like those were the only rides you wanted to do. Also what happens if there are no spots for the separate rides do you have to gamble and pay without knowing or only pay after you select a spot.

Sooo I wanted to say a BIG thank you to Tim! The affiliate links to the camera equipment you use, I ended up getting the same Zoom H1n audio recorder and the RODE Smart Lav+ microphone! They work great! Goodness gracious! You guys are such an influence to me and make me wanna do more things and explore!

Hey Tim, I think Disney closed the double stacking of Lightning Lane time slots. Would you mind rechecking if it's still possible? Specifically, I'm talking about the ability to stack slots using the 120 minute rule, THEN book a new one after using the first. Thanks!

You know, you were lucky to have been able to stack rides at the time you filmed this video. You can no longer stack rides. My understanding is that if you park hop to Epcot, you will no longer have availabilities to book popular Ride like Test Track.

Currently at MK, got here at open- it's been 4 hours, we've done 8 rides and had a sit down lunch. I definitely think that if you're going to use Genie, magic kingdom is where you get the best deal
