As a Mexican born and raised, I gotta disagree with the Negotiate part.
Most of the items for sale on tourist destinations are hand made by indigenous people. People who's only income is the one that they get from selling the stuff they make with their hard work. Imagine this. you go to your local Walmart or Target, you won't even think of trying to negotiate the price of an item, and they are multi millionaire companies, who's products are just imported or factory made. Why would you even try to negotiate a lower price from a person who gets a living by spending most of their time manufacturing and selling their stuff, but won't do so for a company?
In my opinion, if you don't think it's fair the price that they give you, then don't buy it, these people are desperate for income that they accept tourist's nogotiating even if they have to sell it to an extremelly low price which is not worth the amount of time, effort and passion spent into their wares, if you appreciate and respect all these aforementioned characteristics, help a brother out buying their stuff to the price that they think it's worth.

My advise is Don't go to Cancun, don't go to Cabo, Don't go to New York, Don't go to Orlando. In fact don't go to t he USA. If you want to see the world, go to the out of the way places that have less USA involvement or control. Then you will see the real authentic more interesting things. If you want to see the USA watch TV that should fulfill the gap for everything ugly. My favourite places In Mexico: Guanajuato, Queretaro, Oaxaca, Merida, Copper Canyon and any of the Pueblo Magico towns in Mexico. Now as for the world: Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Colombia, Istanbul, The Black sea in Bulgaria (Sunny Beach, Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Oslo & Bergen, Stockholm, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam. I could go on, but these are some places not to be missed. As for the does and don'ts. if you are from the USA I can understand that because of their lack of knowledge of the world (to insular, most do not get out much. If you are from any other country, you will have enough common sense and courtesy to prepare you for travel, and respect the culture of the country.

As a Mexican if your going there to a bar or party don't go to over the top with you outfit. And this goes for women and men don't leave your drink at the bar counter to go dance or anything if it is drugged the person that drugged will probably give a ride or show interest in you and take to a hotel and then take all your money plus everything on you even your clothes sometimes so be careful

Thanks for the tips, Im preparing the trip to go, and actually learning a lot in the process but for a person who is not used to tip for services, its difficult to fallow the tipping process, I read that IS NOT mandatory to tip and making some numbers I think I would need extra 10-12 daily for tipping every time I go to any place or receive a service witch, I found ridiculous.

I followed your advice and went to the restroom on the plane it took longer to wait for my luggage than the immigration/custom process ( I did get a green light).

I don't negotiate to mexican artisans. Never. It's like saying: I don't value and I don't respect your work/talent/culture. I know sometimes they give a higher price, but I dont care. I don't negotiate prices with them. Taxis are a different story (sometimes. I loved the video!
