It is rumored Tolkien's inspiration for the Lonely Mountain was in fact Matterhorn. I highly recommend that you do a road trip to Estes Park YMCA Camp and visit Trail Ridge Road National park. If you do you have to make reservation to pass through due to COVID-19. But it's got tundra landscapes at the summit as Furka Pass. That used feel a lot like Rohan and the trail ridge Rd visitor center felt like Edoras on the inside even if the architecture was different. If you were asked to do your own LOTR Series different to Peter Jackson's films would have used the alps as Rivendell and the Misty mountains?

Hi Ryan! This is really a great Top 10 Swiss Alps video! We have so many amazing places in Switzerland and it's difficult to decide For me the Oeschinensee lake is also one of my top ten places in Switzerland. Like also your dive in the cold Verzasca river. I was diving there some times but with scuba equipment and drysuit I wish you many more great travel experiences! Martin
