Hi Mark I am a big fun of you!
Honestly, a bit disappointed with this review, it tells me that they gave you a room for free to advertise the place. You call it a high-end resort but you know all too well it is just average and plus the place is in a very bad shape. The room they give you is the best they have and it looks totally basic. I was in the mini pool villa and it looks even more basic.
One thing though, food is really good. Apart from that, the place is absolutely overprice. You can get a lot more than that for much less all across Thailand.
Sorry to disagree with you on this review that doesn-t sound genuine to me.

Love the Captain Hook Resort that you & your family stayed. I love the idea that it-s very private. I admire that you Mark takes this short vacation with Ying and Micah. Families that spend quality time together are so far and few in between these days. As a mom and a grandma, it makes me happy to see my daughters, son - in - laws, especially the grandchildren making beautiful memories. So, Mark, I highly commend you making sure with your busy schedule and last minute travels, that you-ll have some quality time with your loving family. Once again, thank you Mark for sharing this wonderful experience and the gorgeous resort.

Just beautiful. I'm sure it was very relaxing and enjoyable! I'm excited for Micah to be a little older, so he will take in the splendor of many of these places, as well as the underdevelopment of other places you travel to. It will give him such a realistic world view. I loved seeing Micah and Ying playing at the edge of the water at the beach. Special, sweet memories!

Oh man. my wanderlust has been elevated beyond whatever it was at lol! I haven't flown anywhere in 21 years! Not because I'm afraid of flying but because i haven't had the means to -sigh- last time i flew was when i was 15. I'm hoping to go somewhere with my dad in the next year or so. He travels a lot and i think this place would be fantastic to visit omg

The kid doesn't look like Mark that's for sure now he is older seems he has no interaction with his son Ying does that he is just interested in food. The kid doesn't know what having a home life or playing with others the benefit of going to school a life I wouldn't put my kids thru they dont develop social skills learning skills lack of everything

Well, the location is for sure stunning. However, I guess something has dramatically changed after your visit, Mark. Right now the resort is badly kept. Most important, we were a group of twelve and we all suffered from bed fleas bites. I would suggest checking for other options on the island.

Hi Mark, I love your videos, we're currently staying at Bann Manok which you pass at the beginning of the video, I've watched this video many a time as I always wanted to go to Thailand, never thought I'd be swimming in that private beach opposite the resort. Amazingly clear water!

This is NOT a high end resort! This is just an ordinary 4 star resort - nothing really special! The breakfast is crap - just unhealthy white bread and fatty sauces for the salad, cheap instant coffee, tea bags and juices -please be careful with your many -fantastics-!

No fridge! a big no no for me Mark, can-t believe for the money you must be paying for a premium resort that they don-t supply a fridge.
Also where is the huge flat screen t. v. that you would expect, little things matter when you are paying top prices

We visited this resort and it is indeed spectacular. we swam all the mangroves and that was fun too. thanks for your presentation. if you swim around the resort you reach a wonderful beach with a small island opposite which we swam to too. paradise!
