Texas Canyon & Traphagan Park - LA Hiking BuckeyeHiker: Another good one fellas. If you guys are ever looking for an awesome day hike not too far from CBus you should hit up Black Hand Gorge. Its located about 15 miles east of Newark. It was usedby native Americans for hundreds of years as their main source of flint. While a good portion is paved for biking there are several little sidetrails one can get out away from the crowds. It also has an awesome abandoned railroad tunnel and several cliffs with beautiful views of the Licking River. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.
I have a feeling you have probably already hit them up but another couple good day hikes can be found in the Columbus metroparks, particularly High Banks (my favoriteof them) and Battelle Darby Creek.

Thomas- I feel you on those 5 a. m. hikes. In desert mountainous zones the sun is really no joke. If you actually want to enjoy your hike and not roast alive, you need to wake up early. I am worried since Thomas is moving; that means no more mountain views: [
