China Vlog Day 1 // Flying into Shanghai // 2017. 4. 21 Friday Eric: Interesting, I-ve watched these China videos (all of them) a dozen times. You both do such a great job capturing the interesting differences and similarities when we return to our homeland. I am from the Philippines but only visited back in 1978 then not again until 2017. your video shows how much I could have done to capture how far along daily life has changed, and how modern life is there now. I also admire how you guys catch the little things. I have a hard time pulling the camera out and turning it on, just to peer into a mostly eaten bowl of soup.

Love the content, but that GH5 is so potato in low light compared to the A7sII, I thought you were using your phone until I saw it in the mirror. The content is excellent which is the most important thing, I did a trip with my eldest last year, he was born in china, I lived in Beijing from 1992 to 2000, still speak Chinese, looking forward to this whole series

i was about to ask if you would make a stop in Hong Kong on your way back, but that trip was like 3 weeks ago, so you're probably back now. Anyway, my kids and I like to watch your hiking video, and they want to go on a overnight hiking trip with me now: ) Can't wait for them to be old enough to do it. Cheers

6: 00 those are not Cantonese wontons. They are more like Fujianese BianRou(--. I guess Shanghai people make it the same as the Fujian people but still call them wonton. The skin is silky smooth right? Essentially you can call them wonton but they are wrapped differently with entire different skins.

Yooo this driving sequence with the age of empires type music is really good! You can see the change in scenery from rural to urban really well. I really like how you guys compose these videos. You know what to film and how to put the scenes together so fluently. Big up!

Awesome Video! I especially liked the video editing and music from 7: 47 to 9: 15. The music reminded me of some older SNES Final Fantasy. Thank you, looking forward to seeing the rest of this China Vlog series.
p. s. Nice track - I found it -Spaghetti Eastern-

I've been to that hotel in pujiang, the only international hotel. Small world.
There's a small place where you can eat raw beef and drink hard core clear alcohol out of plastic gas container. Wonder if it's still there.

Nice view into China. It is funny how countries have a particular feel about them that is unmistakable - your vid reminds of the time I spent in Sichuan so much. Thanks for the look. Can't wait for the next one!
