Very Cool Video we love it. Our plan is to visit Zanzibar in November 2022. We would very much appreciate if you answer us some questions that we have. 1. What kind of Cameras and lenses did you use for this clip? 2. What kind of Microphone did you use? 3. and what kind of drone? 4. Did you just bring the drone inside the island or do you have to get a permission to fly drones in Zanzibar. 5 Car rentals how did you get a local licence which you were mentioning in your video? thanks so much for answering regards William

Would sure be nice if some of the local people of the island which it truly belongs to could benefit and enjoy the profits from the exploitation of the rich coffers, government officials and hotel owners who i'm pretty sure are NOT local people. the wrongs of this world will never be righted, but let's just talk about the culture of the people and how beautiful it is. this is the heartbreaking truth of the matter

Just got back after 3 months. I ride a scooter instead as I prefer that.
As for police stopping you for a bribe this is true I just don-t stop. Ride right past them.
Oh and the visiting local girls from Dar. working in -hospitality- yes lots of those girls and they can be very hospitable.
Zanzibar is like 1990 with WiFi.
Local just believe in nature and don-t watch tv so not taken in by propaganda.

Idk how I came across this video, but it sure sucked me in to watch it until the end. Thanks for taking your time to share this. Your presentation was awesome! The sight, sounds, insights and history! As if that wasn't enough you gave us a BONUS feature; the ending with the local music. They were great! . I admit I was feeling a bit envious, wishing I were there with y'all. I appreciate this my friend! Thank you

i am from Indonesia and our avarege salary here is $250 in the 3rd tier city. I can tell you that with low salary like that, we rarely feel hungry, because food is always plentiful. Life is slow and it's peaceful. Crime rate is low and you as a tourist won't feel afraid walking alone even at night. way of living is very similar to Zanzibar except we have less kids haha. Wish i could visit Zanzibar next time.

Very informative n high quality show about basics of Zanzibar. Last interview was very heart warming by seeing honesty in. personality of local young man.
You mentioned famiky size 5 kids on average n 1. 3 in Spain n italy. Bit puzzling are not these european countries Catholics with high emphasizes on more kids.
In general it was great show with amysing highlights.

Great documentary. We are always proud to be part of this Great island. But one thing you need to know about Zanzibar, is it a country. Even though some consider it's a part of Tanganyika. Actually the name Tanzania came from Tan as Tanganyika and Zan as Zanzibar (Tanzania). The history is long of both nations. Thank you again for making this amazing video about ZNZ

Outstanding presentation- thank you so much! I arrived in Zanzibar a couple days ago and was wondering how I will allocate my time- the glorious white sand and warm clear ocean water and fish dinners are so amazing, it-s hard to want to do much else; ) but your amazing documentary gave me lots to consider. What an abundant and beautiful place with beautiful people.

That tourist guide is from the mainland Tanzania, what he says about history of slaves can be exaggerated and motivated by his biases against Zanzibaris.
For example his emphasis on Arabs chaining and trading in slaves is motivated by his biases. All races in Zanzibar traded on slaves including Africans who enslaved other Africans.

Overall, great video. But to say the Maasai rejected -civilization- (time 4: 20 thereabout) because they chose to stick to their traditional culture is absolute nonsense and Eurocentric! Refine your language and mentality if you are going to be traveling around describing people in such pejorative terms.
