I really appreciate your calm, honest assessment of all important points in your evaluations. You point out the good and the bad without hyperbole. I feel like i can trust your assessments.
I flew American business to Paris in November 2021. We returned to the states via Premium Economy. It was our first trip across the Atlantic since January 2020. We have made that journey with several different airlines. We chose AA this time because they allowed us to fly business to Europe and premium economy on return flight. Otherwise we would not have opted to give AA the money for round trip business, so we loved that option. We usually fly economy, preferring more trips per year to one expensive experience.
We too were shocked by the filthof the business class area. Everyone in our cabin we talking about it while cleaning our own area. The surprising things for me were the amount of easy to vacuum up can wrappers and pieces of food in the seat and open compartments and then the amount of obviously long term grim on trays and areas people touch moving about. That grim wipped off fairly easily with wipes I brought for use while in Europe. I wonder if fhats normal for AA as the seasoned travels across the aisle came equipped to clean their area and did so as the first step in settling in for a great trip.
One question for you. During the night i got up from the flatseat to make my way to the restroom. The crew had literally baracaded access to the whole area. I leaned around and asked the FA what the problem was. He said it was blocked for crew use and i should use the economy restroom. I asked him for how long since we had paid a significant amount of money for access to that restroom. He said that it would be available later in the flight. It was at some point. A few months early when my sister flew business to Greece (selecting seat near the restroom due to her frequent need ) that crew blocked the restroom area off for the entire night and where hostile when she inquired about access. What is going on? Have you seen that? Why do they map it as a passenger access if its not available during the flight.
By the way after our head to head comparison, we will be flying premium economy rather than bulk head coach. That business class uograde was not worth the money. The food - meals and even in-between snacks service, the flight attendants' service and attitudes, and cabin atmosphere of Premium Economy were far superior to their business class.
Thanks for your reporting

I guess I would be considered in having high expectations, but this is horrible! The amount of plastic, paper, etc. shown in this video only seem to show how much of a downgrade this (Business Class attempt) experience was suppose to be? Then again, Delta is pretty much known as the -middle class- U. S. airlines for a reason (if the title is not already taken by Southwest; although, Southwest flies less routes than Delta. I would think, just on experience, the economy would have probably been a better experience both customer service and price wise.

Great honest review. The no diet coke part was enough to put me off of ever investing in the Delta One product. $700 and you cannot get a can of soda? Embarrassing. As for Sam Chui, I see him more as an aviation enthusiast rather than a product reviewer.

I don't fly. I've been in a plane, just never landed in one; it's an extremely irrational fear of mine. That being said, if I'm paying well over even $300 for a flight; I'd expect a clean space with more than exceptional hospitality.

I have always said that American airlines are appalling - they are dirty, the air crew are disinterested and the lounges are terrible. The only good carrier in my experince was Virgin America that sadly no longer exist.

Everyone's service is dramatically reduced during the pandemic. I have flown Delta dozens of time and was always struck by the kindness and service of the crew. Love Delta, and will always fly them given chance

Sam Chui has lost all credibility. Do not believe anything he says because I have found his video to be chock full of untruths, half truths and bias opinions.

was wondering if you could do a review on HPN (Westchester Airport) wether it-s planes, staff or even the experience. Maybe even physical airports in general?
