Go check out Rosetta Stone limited time deals today: I'm going to find out what EgyptAir is really like. Looking at the reviews. it's not good! Many report issues with cleanliness, upkeep of the cabin (broken seats) and overall just not offering good value. I'll be trying out their Business Class on their brand new Airbus A220 over to Aswan in Northern Egypt. My buddy -James

We travelled EgyptAir some years ago, Rome - > Cairo. When we arrived and picked up our bags, a very official looking, well dressed guy approached me in the baggage retrieval area and asked which bag was mine. I pointed it out to him. He picked it up from the baggage carousel and set it on the floor next to me (this is in the secure area, remember. Then he put his and out to me, palm up.
I ferreted about in my pocket and took out a small Egyptian coin. He looked at me in disgust. He probably learned that day not to try it on with kiwis. :D

I flew Egyptair in 2008. Back then, you had to bribe _everyone_ to get anything. AA batteries in your carry on? $5 to the security official. Want to get the actual seat printed on your ticket? $10 to the gate attendant. Want water? $5 to the FA. Want your bag at the end of the flight? $20 to the baggage handler guarding the carousel. Looks like things have. improved?

My mother and sister flew Misrair (Egyptair in arabic) in 1947 from Cairo to Lydda on a De Havilland Dragon and in 1950 to Nicosia, Cyprus on a Vickers Viking. My aunts flew on SAIDE, Intercontinental airlines of Egypt in 1950 from Cairo to Rome via Alexandria and Athens on a 3 engine Marchetti. Misrair acquired / merged with them. They said it was excellent.

We paid a lot for their tickets, they had us waiting 2 hours in the plane without giving any explanation, on our return they have canceled the flight and had to wait hours for the next available, again no explanation, they didn't seem to care at all. Pitty, such a bad impression at the begging and at the end to our trip at Egypt.

After all egyptair is better than yours and you keep saying -its bad- and then you will ask me -how is it good- remember the egyptair pilot that landed in high wind and 1 time and was perfect? Others was look like dancing and failed landing

Sorry you lost me when you said ' dry airline'! , that's just cruel, if I'm going to crash into a sand dune at 700 kph because of half assed maintainence on the aircraft I'm flying in, I want to be fully tanked before I see the ground again.

I've flown Egypt Air in Y before from Berlin to Cairo. I didn't think they were bad at all, and I have travelled widely. I got sick of the extremely cold snowy weather in Berlin, and Egyptair were my getaway airline to sunnier climes!

Yeah I got hot tea spilled on me and our luggage got lost a couple times (not sure if we got anything in return probably not) and ever since we stopped travelling on Egypt air business class.

I fly Egypt Air some years ago and thought it was a pretty good flight. The highlight for me was our own bus (Business Class) to take us from the plane to the terminal in Aswan.
