Just came back from a trip around the UK including Liverpool. On the train to Penrith met a lovely woman who lives just across the river from Liverpool and we talked all the way to Penrith! And in another instance, but this time in Manchester, one of the cab drivers saw me taking a picture of his cab and offered me to take his seat behind the wheel and take a picture of me! So yeah, people are lovely there: )

I am a Manchester United supporter, but also a very big Beatles fan. I want to visit Liverpool to get a picture with the Beatles statue. I have heard that the locals are friendly people but I am nervous to visit since I support their arch football rivals. If I visit Liverpool, will I be fine if I hide the fact that I am a United fan? I just want to explore this beautiful city without causing any trouble.

I loved Liverpool! Saw quickly with my parents in '73 then showed in detail to my kids in 2017. Enjoyed every second of my 2 days there - all the Beatles' homes, The Beatles Story, Albert Docks, Cavern Club, the Universities, Anfield, Goodison Park, both Cathedrals, etc. Need to visit again - once I can get out of California again.

My cousin through out his life he spent his time with research, study. An absent minded genius. After long time I met him and he asked me where are you live in England. I said Liverpool. Then he said. O Liverpool. A great football club out there. I was shocked cause I never thought in my life he ever seen any football match ever.

Liverpool gets better every year. With more redevelopment in the city, it is an ever changing place and for the better. This video is 5 years old. A lot of new buildings and architecture have been developed since then. Its definitely an up and coming city. It looks fantastic

Liverpool's heyday is in the past. There's some nice buildings in the centre; but, like most English cities (apart from London, it couldnt be considered a buzzing metropolis that is on the upwards curve.

What an impressive, uplifting description of Liverpool. It still has it's grimy veneer but a whole lot better when I moved away 40 years ago. Liverpool should be proud.

I feel bad now that I didn't spend time in Liverpool when I had the chance too on my adventure around Great Britain. All the better reasons to visit again.
