I've lived here all my adult life, it really is grey and depressing, though in the summer months it comes alive. If you plan to visit Manchester, don't come in the winter, it's freezing cold and constantly raining.

When I was a kid here in the 60s and 70s it was a dump. But it really is a thriving and beautiful city. The return of the Trams, better city centre planning and new 21c buildings, all return it to its 19c heyday.

Meh. I preferred Liverpool, so much more beautiful with a vibrant water front. Manchester was ok but didnt have much of an identity
