I work for SAA and it because you are Star Alliance Gold, and Gold services behind the scene 48 hrs before a flight shuffle all the passengers around gold tier members to make sure they have empty seat partners ( even on busy flights. Most -A airlines do this, it a unsung perk. For none status passengers if you call SAA to reserve a seat via the call centre the computer automatically blocks the seat next to you, it will only be opened up if the flight is full to capacity: )

Once you've flown with SAA as many times as I have over the last 20 years, you won't have a love/hate relationship anymore, there won't be any love left. They suck bigtime. And they're more expensive than most. And I'm South African btw if that tells you anything.

I-m so confused I started watching Kara and Nate playlist from the beginning the playlist says I-m on number 177 but when I watch the video in the video they put vlog 180 I wonder why the numbers are off if it-s vlog 180 it would be #180 on the playlist right?

The Doritos blow up like that because of the pressurization in the cabin. As you climb higher the cabin goes up, generally aircraft don't let cabins go higher than 8000 feet at the highest. So that's what happens to bags of chips for example.

your love hate relationship with south african airways is spot on. Its an airline in trouble. They buy some good jets but the entertainment sucks. Crappy airline for long distance flights. What do you do for 12hours look out the window?

So far Africa has been my favorite place y-all have visited. The culture landscape and food seams the most interesting and appealing to me. I-ve never had a desire to visit South Africa but now it-s on the top of my list!
