North Cyprus ROAD TRIP! Olive Oil factory, Famagusta, Salamis Ruins Panos: The Apostle Paul did indeed visit Cyprus. Cyprus was the first country in the world to come under Christian administration when the Apostle Paul and Barnabas visited the island in their mission to spread Christianity. Salamis is NOT Roman. Salamis (Salamina) is an Ancient Greek city-state. Cyprus became officially part of Eastern Roman Empire in 293 AD, although the Romans first arrived in Cyprus in 58 BC. Around 1200 BC the Achaean Greeks first arrived in Cyprus, introducing their language, religion and customs to the island. Cyprus's Greek heritage and culture has been kept in tact ever since. Alexander the Great also clamed Cyprus in the 4th Century BC as part of the Greek - Egyptian kingdom.

This was a great video, I had to laugh several times at your expense Kara, sorry. The first time when the -praying- started, you stopped, looked at Nate, then continued on up the stairs. Expression was priceless! Then with the Donkey, I was laughing at your UHUH when he told you about the ears being back (that's true BTW) and you backed away quickly. Still laughing from that and he got you with the -watch out for the donkey-. Sorry just funny!

I love how protective Nate is of Kara. I remember one video where he took off the tripod to use just in case and another were he made the call not to go to a bad area. Nate sees one of the mans role in a relationship is to protect. That's a good guy in my book. I feel the same way. The other side of being protective is the joy of messing with your partner a bit like with the fake donkey attack.

This is an absolutely stunning island. I love Cyprus. I adored getting to see the ancient ruins, and the Olive Oil Factory! How great was that place? It reminds me of how you stumbled upon that coffee plantation while in Chiang Mai. Absolutely fascinating. I would've had a hard time leaving the gift shop without a bottle of Olive Oil, bars of soap, some body oil. --

Remember this is Turkish occupied territory that was mainly Greek Cypriot before the Turkish invasion in 1974! Also Salamis ruins were Greek ruins, stop promoting an illegal entity which came out of the forced explusion of its native people

There is a very expensive beef in Japan called Wagyu and the rarest of the Wagyu is from one island where they grow olives and the dried olive waste is fed to the cattle. It produces a very well marbled beef with a greennish tint to it.
