CATHAY PACIFIC BUSINESS CLASS VIETNAM to NYC (wing business class lounge review) Bri: Just FYI, this isn't the cheapest way to get from JFK to EWR!
This method does take a little more time, but it's significantly cheaper for penny-pinchers like me: ) (TL; DR: take the A train and 1 train on the subway, take the PATH train to Newark Penn Station, and take the NJ transit bus to EWR)
From JFK, you can take the AirTrain (run by the Port Authority, $7. 75) to get to the A train (NYC Subway, $2. 75) all the way to 59 St-Columbus Circle in Manhattan. You can use a MetroCard for this and every other segment of the trip until the NJ Transit bus, so load about $14 on there.
Transfer there to the 1 train, and take that to 14th St. At 14th street, get off and look for signs for the F/M train, which will be up some stairs and down a long underground hallway that occasionally has street performances or other programs. You won't be going on them, though--the PATH train to New Jersey is next to them ($2. 75. Take the yellow PATH train headed to Journal Square, and transfer at Grove Street to the red train heading towards Newark (which will be going to Newark Penn Station.
(Alternatively, you can take the 1 train all the way down to Fulton Street, where you'll cross the beautiful Oculus terminal to get to the Newark PATH train there. This is simpler, but it'll take more time to get down to the tip of Manhattan)
Once you get to Newark Penn Station, you'll be looking for the Raymond Blvd Bus Lanes, where you'll catch the #62 NJ Transit bus to EWR ($1. 50. Purchase this ticket either using the ticket machines or the NJ Transit app. Watch out--there's also a #62 that doesn't go there! This bus stops at every terminal after making its way through central Newark. It is a public bus, so sometimes there are some -unsavory- characters; normally it's fine but be aware.
Altogether, this route takes about 3 hours, but only costs $14. 75. That's way cheaper than taking the LIRR and NJ Transit train (which is easily at least double that) or any other private bus/shuttle combo.
I'm aware that Kara and Nate most likely have the means to not need a complicated itinerary like this, but other folks who are watching might not! I live in NYC and learning this route to EWR has saved me tons of money. It is long, but I honestly don't mind--like most New Yorkers, I tend to tune out on the train anyways. Hope this helps some folks!

Howdy from Sherwood park Alberta Canada. I am a 61 yr old and this lockdown has taken its toll. I often wake not knowing what day it is. I have been reduced to living in a 1996 chev silverado. It could be a lot worse. -26 this morning. My kids are grown and doing well. I stumbled on your site yesterday. Thank you for taking me away from this for a while. I am reminded of better days when My lovely ex wife and myself would just wake up at 4; 30 am and pack a couple things and bolt. It was a magical time. I now have pretty much bottomed out mentally. Walmart has free wifi in the parking lot. I never thought this was even a possibility in this day and age. You are a ray of proverbial sunlight on some very dark days. Thank you Godbless The roadhammer.

What I've learned about traveling (since I don't do it very often, If you're not a student, just pay the money. I pretty conservative with my finances, but understand that time money value proposition and going through what you did to save a few hundred dollars is definitely not worth it.

Ok I don't know why but I thought the title meant like literal business class as in lecture and I thought cool and then I saw the airplane and thought for like a straight minute it is a business class given while in air which is super dumb. Anyways, I should go back to studying. Great video tho

In your guys opinion, which airline has the best bathrooms? I usually wait until I-ve landed to avoid the cramped airplane. But the last time I flew I had such terrible gas I ended up having to fart into my pillow for the better half on an hour.

I have flown with Cafe Pacific in business class when I went to Manchester with a stopover in Hong Kong it-s very very good business class and I wouldn-t be surprised if I-ve been in the same seat I-ve flown busines and I absolutely love it

Nate's grandparents are relationship goals! 60+ years is amazing and congratulations to them!
I'm not all about the flying like you two are, but the lounge food makes me understand why you fly so much and enjoy it!

You guys should fly through Toronto and review the worst lounges in N. America. Air Canada is the worst experience I ever had. I will never fly with them again because of the awful business class lounge
