Well I guess what once was and some of our ancestors left their drawings to tell of it with some of the wildlife that used to be but just barren land with barely even plant life now. Very interesting rock formations in some places though.

Once I studied a map of the Sahara Desert and saw very high mountains in its very heart. Since then, I wanted to see what it looks like. Incredible! How many hidden gems the Sahara bears!

Many mountains are such, especially mesas. Some have root systems that are miles wide.
