I just don't know what to say, my maternal (mom) roots lies here in hampi & my paternal (father) roots lies in Gulbarga the heart of Bahamanis, and my entire childhood was in Southern Karnataka (hassan. So i just do not restrict my views to hindu Vijayangara vs Islamic Bahamanis. Infact one who has read the history in its true sense do not indulge in such comments like as seen below here. For me, its like the hampi ruins are frozen forever in time but more than that, more than the Grandeur history of Vijayangara what imprisons my eyes and mind is these rocks u get to see from bellary to gulbarga. As a kid, when i used to go back to my grandparents home from hassan to gulbarga, i would know that the train as entered north karnataka when i see these rocks. Itz like am coming home. U know the great civilizations of incans, Sumerians. etc have come & gone, battles have been fought for thrones & lands. But these rocks older than the existence of any life on earth are here. & perhaps will be there even when we humans won't be existing anymore. These rocky boulders has history older than us. Lastly, what pains me the most is that atleast or ancestors knew to coexist in peace with the nature & its ecosystem but now both in gulbarga & bellary these rocks have become prey to the miners.

I was operating India's first white water jet boat in the rapids on the upper Ganges upstream of Rishikesh from November to March. The rest of the year I was free to travel. From there I hiked to some of the Temples of Shiva. Came face to face with a tiger, wild elephants and black leopards. There is so much to see, do and learn in India. It was a trip to Hampi 27 years ago that started me on a many year hiking adventures in western India. Now I am worn out at age 70 and a very happy guy I did what I could when I was young enough to do it. Don't wait

Muslims preach hate towards other religion. A mind full of hatred cannot think of innovations and new ideas. Thats the reason even if there are 57 islamic nations on this planet, there is unrest or limited freedom and none has come to the level of INDIA, which is a HINDU majority state. This is because of HINDUS hard work and effort INDIA has risen within 70 years despite loot and plunder for more than 1200 years. Had INDIA been a muslim majority state, life would have been miserable for non-muslims and would have been a failed state like Somalia or pakistan.

Hampi the Capital City of Karnataka Samrajya. The fake indologists coined it Vijayanagara Dynasty. This is wrong. Vijayanagara was the Capital of Karnataka Samrajya. The throne was called Karnataka Rathna Simhasana. Krishnadevaraya came from Tuluva background and gave Telugu an important status in Karnataka Samrajya. Again Kannadigas are the loosers of their identity in the world arena.

Great video No two feelings are more intense and at odds: Amazement at the beauty of these ancient cities versus the pain of knowing that some try to destroy them. All humanity should be proud of its these wonderful places. How could the islamic hordes possibly tear it apart?
