Such beauty, but sadly devoid of life now. There's a feeling of futility in keeping something alive that no longer has any importance in Japanese life other than nostalgia, and where the visitors are all t-shirts and jeans clad tourists taking photos and ticking off another item on their list, like zoo visitors viewing the last tigers whose habitats no longer exist. The world is now a Disneyland for us all to pretend there's still magic to be found.

Awesome video, but I think this is the first time you've fluffed the music. It's Chinese, and given this place is so contemplative, you should've used something like Japanese Bamboo Flute music to give a more meditative feel. This is just too energetic for such a spiritual place. So I muted it and played the music it should have n it's awesome. :D

Very nice, we have a few Japanese friends and my husband has only been in Japan overnight with a plane delay (they put him up in a hotel and he saw a Bidet for his first time but no time for a tour of the city) We really hope to go sometime in the future

Thanks for the wonderful look into traditional Japanese architecture and culture. It looks to me like all of your shots were tripod shots, presumably with the Sony AX700. Where did you use the Osmo Pocket in this video? (I study and learn from your techniques. :-)

I just sent this link to a friend in Kyoto and she loved it, said she had been to 17 of the locations in the video. Excellent work, clear faultless video properly composed and the music matched the video.

Perfect time of year to capture the unique beauty of this locale. (For those interested in Japanese gardens a browse of my Japanese Gardens Around the World playlist would be enjoyable)

I remember traveling to Kyoto while watching the images of Kyoto. It is a good area to travel to such delicious food as Kinkakuji and Ginkakuji temples.
