The Ancient town of Luang Prabang (Luangphabang, city of the Golden Buddha) in Northern Laos was founded probably in the 7/8th century, it became a royal capital from 14th to the 16th century. It is claimed to be South-East Asia's best preserved city with well preserved architectural, religious and cultural heritage, including French colonial influences from the 19th and 20th centuries. There are 33 Buddhist temples in the city, Wat Xieng Thong being the most famous one. Luang Prabang is situated at the confluence of the Mekong River and the Khan River. The surrounding area is beautiful, with lush green vegetation, hills and mountains. Two popular natural sites are nearby: the Pak Ou Cave and Kuang Si Waterfalls. Recorded April 2018 in 4K Ultra HD with Sony AX100.

Another wonderful video I was there in 2002 and I loved that trip but the colors of the shrines and temples are now more vibrant yet remain ever so pleasing. Presumably a lot of work has gone into them since my first visit. I plan to visit the plain of jars later this year. Admittedly that will be less spectacular however the plain of jars is one of those places like Stonehenge that evoke ancient mystery. Hope you have a chance to go there while in the area.

Absolutely wonderful memories of beautiful historical and culturally interesting Luang Prabang evoked by your magnificent video takes. Already six years since my visit there but it left me with a lasting impression. I took one of the long boats to Chang Mai, a three day adventure and a spectacular experience. Thanks for sharing. You are truly an inspiration to others trying to capture beautiful footage of travels.

Yet again a wonderful travel video. Love the work you produce. It's so different from what all others are putting online. Not the flashy videos of guys jumping of cliffs or ride bikes. girls swimming in crystal clear water, but the sights of amazing places on earth. This video brings back the most lovely memories of our visit to Luang Prabang. Great to see all those familiar places again. Thanks for sharing.

This is excellent footage shot around Vientiane and the best I have seen of the unusual waterfalls. Its a shame Si Phan Don is at the other end of the country, the rapids are very impressive. I used to have a friend from Laos years ago so I learnt a little about the country.

Very beautiful. All the Buddha figurines in that cave And the buildings and the temples with the pointed roofs. And the funny long boats, they must be basic transportation there. Love the shots of the waterfalls and all the water. Nice music too. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your beautiful video. Outstanding natural beauty, Laos is sparse on inhabitants but rich in fascinating cultural heritage, picturesque green vestures and warm, welcoming smiles. Well done

Compliments for sharing this particular piece of heaven on earth to the rest of the world. Spent time there two months ago and still baffled by it's beauty. I love Laos, I love Luang Prabang

Why don't you try taking an establishing shot, then zooming in on a particularly interesting subject. You often don't show us complete scenes initially.
