5: 07, 5: 27, 5: 38, 8: 08 -- Throughout this video, you can see multiple shots which show two different kinds of construction at the site: 1. Perfectly cut, beautifully and smoothly shaped, fitted blocks of stone, often with huge blocks weighing many tons. 2. Basic piling of various stones, none very large. The stones are shaped, but very crudely compared to the megalithic ones, and sometimes mortared with clay. The obvious conclusion is that two different cultures built at the site. The earlier, pre-Incan, culture had a much higher level of technology. All the other stuff is Incan. It's impressive and beautiful, but it's nothing compared to the megalithic structures. The Incans did not create the megalithic structures at Machu Picchu nor were they the originators of the site. They found the earlier structures, and the strangely flattened mountainside, and built on top of it.

As an engineer what baffles me is the amount of stone and where it was quarried from, the care need to plan such an undertaking without the modern option of clear the top by pushing everything over the side, then bring back in what is need. It is just a whole different paradigm to the engineering. throw nothing away you might use later Pity our society does not have this understanding. there is nothing we wont throw away, the older I get the more disgusted I get, because despite lots of talk about recycling, the same people think nothing of drinking bottled water and think that putting the bottle in a special bin solves everything, WRONG The same as junking a functional vehicle does not reduce our carbon footprint because the cost of production outweighs any gain. Wake up people stop the Consumption, build to last thoughtfully like the Inca.

Machu Picchy: Mind-blowing stonework, megalithic structures, precision engineering, fully functioning system of hydraulics, anti seismic and anti-flooding terracing and trapezoidal forms, steep and death defying roads, astronomical observatory, all built on a sharp mountain crest in the clouds in the most extreme geography of the largest mountain chain in the world and in complete harmony with the natural surroundings. I'd like to see the people who built Dubai try to do something like this wonder of the world.

i been to Machu Picchu. Its just full of Magic, Mystical and the closest you will ever be to heaven. Breath taking. I just assumed the inca's vanished because they found the stairway to heaven or somewhere around there is heavens door. I felt a sense of relief and tranquility when coming down from Machu Picchu. I went in March-2019 Monsoon season. Cloudy, rainy and cool breeze.

This work was not made by the Incas. Too primitive, without proper tools. Advanced technology that would have been applied to the armament. It is said that it was a conquering town, but when the Spaniards arrived, they fought against them with sticks and stones (like the men of 12, 000 years ago. Who has high technology, has sophisticated weapons.

If you think this is part of heaven, imagine how heaven is, and there is only one way to be in heaven. The value to know the truth do you have that value. A man more then 2000 year ago said I'm truth, I'm the way I'm the life.

It is hard for some of us people now days to except the fact, once there was a time people were much smarter then we give credit. We still cant figure out how they cut and moved huge rock as easy as they did.
