Halong bay is like Guilin on the sea, very beautiful. I spend a few days in Vietnam last winter, the vietnamese food tastes good and I was definitely impressed. The capital Hanoi to me felt over-crowed with motorbikes. When I walk on the steet at night, I saw some people watching Chinese TV series which gave me a touch of affinity. China and vietnam were once a country, now the two close neighbors have to fight for some waters, sadly.

We booked an overnight cruise via Halong Bay Cruise Hunters cruise agent is #1 tour agent on Tripadvisor and visited Halong Bay few days ago, the scenery was beautiful, it was crowded but worth for your time, Do not book too cheap cruise, just book a cruise just costs from us 120/person with all inclusions: transfer, kayaking, meals, tour guide. Transfer via highway is optional if u do not want to be tired as normal highway

Vietnamese take way from indigenous land from Thai, Khmer empire, champa and montagnard indigenous land in Central highland, we already know Vietnamese came from China few hundred year. Indigenous Vietnam lost their ancestors land, culture way of life also no freedom in Vietnam.

Ha Long Bay is a bit over rated Having seen both Ha Long Bay and the Islands off of Phuket, hands down my vote goes for the islands off of Phuket, Thailand. If you are going to Vietnam, be sure to visit Trang An. I might share my travel videos in the future.

Natural beauty of the place has been spoiled by excessive tourism. Who the hell wants to travel there to see a bay full of cruise boats? Hope Vietnam curtails the rate of boat traffic, ruining it for the future for short term profit.

Magical area, I have seen many stills of Ha Long Bay but never any decent video. I did not know about the small beaches until I saw this video. Excellent production, compliments.
