Sintra is a town and municipality near Lisbon in Portugal, which is famous for at least six extraordinary, very different in style palaces and castles in Sintra, most of them with adjacent gardens. The Pena National Palace (Pal cio da Pena) is a work of 19th century Romanticism, mixing Egyptian, Moorish, Gothic and Renaissance elements. Quinta da Regaleira is a unique artistic palace with caves, lakes, underground passageways, and mystical initiation well, resembling un underground tower. The Moorish Castle (Castelo dos Mouros) was used by the Moors in the 9th century, when they occupied the area. Sintra National Palace (Pal cio Nacional de Sintra) is a Royal Palace in the city center, built in the early 15th century. The Palace of Monserrate ( Pal cio de Monserrate) is an example of mid-19th century eclecticism, combining neo-Gothicism with Arab and India architectural elements. Monserrate is renowned for its gardens, with thousands of exotic species from all over the world. Queluz National Palace (Pal cio Nacional de Queluz) is an 18th-century palace and gardens which served as a royal residence for a century. The palace has been called Versailles of Portugal. Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Europe, with a lighthouse and stunning views over nearby rocky beaches. The Cultural Landscape of Sintra is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 0: 00 Pena National Palace 4: 35 Quinta da Regaleira 8: 53 Moorish Castle 11: 26 Sintra National Palace 13: 04 Park and Palace of Monserrate 15: 06 Queluz National Palace 18: 10 Cabo da Roca

Beautiful, you know they lied to us once again and tried to say that these ancient castles were in the 1300s right up to 1800s, but there is no way in our world they build these on those days. Or should i say carved. You can see the technology, i learnt about this from watching Jon Levi and Flat Earth Britton.

I have not visited only two countries of continental Europe in my life - one of them is Portugal. If I manage to visit, this place will become the second in Portugal, I'll start with the islands

The pools of water, fountains & gardens were my favorite parts. The mist too gave a certain feeling. So relaxing to watch, along with the music. Thanks.
