i'd love to visit. But to be honest, my view on the country overall is not very favorable. i think even before this pandemic, Italy was struggling economically. It signed on to China's Belt and Road Initiative, hoping to get something out of it. Look where that's gotten Italy today. It has natural resources and strategic geography, it's got great (ancient) history, cultures, cuisines, and landscapes, but the administrations and societies aren't really competent.

Partially true ranking, in the first place rightly Rome one of the most important cities in the world, but in second place is sacrosanct Venice, together with Rome the most beautiful city in the world. Then there is Sardinia and the Aosta valley, Milan is not in the top 50, it is totally negligible.
