When international travel stopped, it allowed myself and many many other Irish people to discover their own country. I visited County Donegal (the furthest place you can go from Cork) for the first time and it was amazing.
When travel does return, my tip is to not just visit Dublin. The Wild Atlantic Way is a spectacular route which takes you from Cork to Donegal via Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim. There's amazing sights along it including the Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, and the Slive League Cliffs as well aswell as hidden gems such as the Sheep's Head peninsula in West Cork.
You can also visit some of the islands off the west coast, such as the Aran Islands, Cape Clear or Scattery Island.

Just to correct a small mistake in the script. Connemara is located along the Wild Atlantic way and not the Ring of Kerry.
