I recently flew Edelweiss and it was by far the worst experience as a passenger I have ever had. On the outgoing flight after a full day in the air we were served exactly 5 pieces of penne pasta in mayo and 4 pieces of old fruit for dinner! Cabin crew was extremely annoyed when asked for water. We were also not allowed to stand in the galley to wait for the restroom despite crew not doing a service and seatbelt signs being off. Same issues with food, water and movement on the inbound flight. Apparently humanity, decency and a concern for passenger healt, safety and dignity are not features of this vile, subhuman airline.

Hey Noel! I truly enjoy your videos about your flights. I plan to fly Edelweiss Air A340 in Business class as well soon. I noticed you were in seat 11A (I ended up booking the same as you have a good view. Was it a good seat compared to the others in the same class? I need a window seat and saw you only had 1 (not even 1 and a half, Im a bit claustrophobic. Is the legroom the same everywhere as well? Can you recommend a better seat or did it fill all your expectations? Thanks in advance! Cheers

Edelweiss Business is similar to the one of Swiss, but the staff on Swiss are more professional. At YVR we had some arguments with the airport staff as despite our Swiss/Edelweiss codeshare flight, Edelweiss would not pay for the Air Canada lounge so we had to make do with the one of Japan airlines which was not very attractive and pretty crowded. And yes, I do agree with you that the two airlines' business classes are superior to that of their parent Lufthansa.

Please don't care about Skytrax rating, everybody knows that airlines can buy their fivestar rating, if the pay enough and never stop supporting shitty Skytrax. Skytrax is definitely not an independant rating agency, they do everything, if airlines pay them enough.

The problem with Lufthansa They want to put there new Business-class in the 777-9 and then in all the other plans problem the 777-9 has some delivering problems and furthermore there is the Swiss Perfektion everybody loves this is why Swiss and edelweiss is Perfekt

Seems LX made just a minor adjustment to the cabin, keeping everything Swiss (albeit changing the colour of the cloth on the seats) and filling the old F cabin with PE (thus your puzzling about the odd positioning in front rather than back of the J cabin.

What is your problem with Norwegian? You compare to business class on many videos its Premium economy. I find them great value for money and I think you are unfair with your comments. You seem never to be happy unless you are in business class.

I cannot get over how much smaller the turbofans on that flight are compared to modern aircraft. Also explains why you took off so gingerly. Also, dont drink at least 4 hours before bed, it disrupts your REM and deep sleep cycles.

Please try to pronounce the name of the airport correctly but you mispronounced Buenos Aires which is really not accept.
Aires = first 3 letters are pronounced EYE not AIR.
However still love your videos!

How things have changed. airports are now half-empty, there is social distancing and people wearing masks everywhere, check-in counters behind glass, and A340s are not flying the skies anymore.

This was because its a former Swiss aircraft and they kept the business class seats in. Also they removed the first class and put the premium eco in the front instead

The a340 (300 and 600) is such a good plane! So quiet and stable and roomy even in economy on the Airlines I flew. Too bad its being ditched these days.
