Hi Rick, as always I have enjoyed watching your travel videos. I must add that one of the best that I have enjoyed is the The Making of Rick Steves' Europe. ' It's wonderful to see the amazing chemistry and team spirit that you, Simon and Karel have and also all the hard work that goes into producing each episode. In three weeks time I travel to Europe for five weeks, and you can be sure that I have watched all your videos on the places that I will be visiting. Many thanks and safe travels to you, Simon and Karel.

This was so very interesting! Fascinating actually. To see the amount of work that goes into the making of just one show is kind of mind blowing! So very impressive to see Rick learning his lines in the script that he has labored over and the work that the camera men and producer are doing to keep up with Rick. Just WOW! I'm so glad I caught this one! I really had no idea how labor intensive this actually was. I do now! Thanks so much for sharing this guys! It was a true joy to watch!

Thanks for showing the BTS! Its interesting to learn about your process.
Ive watched many of your shows; in general I love them, but I gotta say some of them have too much content and not enough scenery, so it gets a bit boring because it feels more like watching an education show (like those that you watch with your classmates in school) instead of a travel show. Hopefully there will be a tad more scenery in the future episodes. Thank you!

Comapring to some similar tourist TV shows or documentaries with over 100 people in the producing team, Rick's team only has 3 persons but the shows are more fascinating. Moreover, Rick does not like those TV shows create a lot of embrassing funny jokes, but with peaceful and gentle narration, plus beautiful music. The real relaxing and enjoyable tour documentaries.

Love the videos. I am somewhat surprised that you don't leverage the power of YouTube to help expand your marketing reach. Namely, using the description field to add more links to tips and other product offerings. This would just seem like a natural fit for such a well known brand in the travel industry. I would dare say that Rick Steves is a top leader.

Love the behind the scenes look! The way how the team works is certainly part fo the magic of the show. I know this was several years ago, but did you produce the most recent shows this way as well? Do you still lug around that huge camera with the smaller professional cameras available these days?

I'm going to Europe Tour this year, Your videos are great source of information and guide book for every visitor, helping me a lot to know the history, culture, art and many more things about Europe. Presentation is excellent. Like to watch more videos and became addicted to. Thanks.
