Hey Mike, long time watcher, first time commenting. I recently bought a DD 3x3 tarp. And I see in most videos involving a tarp that you and your fellow bushcraft counterparts all see to keep a length of cordage that is dedicated specifically to being used as the ridge line for the tarp. My question to you is. how long is that dedicated length of ridge line cord? Im always hesitant to cut cordage down because once its cut, its cut. And too long is cumbersome to work with and too short makes it useless. So how long is yours and what would you say is the ideal length to keep with my tarp for a dedicated ridge line? Thanks

awesome videos man, getting me stoked to camp I usually do hammock camping and some kind of tarp rig above it. Since ive been living in colorado ive been experiencing a lot more high speed winds in higher elevation and have burnt through an INSANE amount of tarps. I have been using tarps that are more designed for work (landscaping/ tool covers etc) and was wondering if you had any suggestions on more durable/ lightweight camping tarps. Thanks for the vids

Owls are indeed lovely birds. I used to have a couple couple of tawnies breeding behind my house, who would get quite near when hunting insects around my gas lamao when I was reading outisde, and one day I found one of them with a sprained wing. I kept him or her (not a clue) for 3 weeks to literally get on the wing again and gosh, did I have fun when friends came to have a coffee or a beer.

Nice video - I've not seen a reflector put together before so that was interesting. The way you are pegging out the corners of your tarp (around 9: 00, it looks like the groundsheet part is poking out such that rain could get in. Perhaps you adjusted it, because you mention that it rained in the night.

I really enjoyed this video. It felt like I was there with youI haven't been camping before, but I would really like to give this a go. I picked up alot of good tips from your video. With the tarp, what would you have done if the wind was blowing the rain inside during the night?

Hehe manI thought I'm the only one wandering around, seting a camp and carying heavy bottles or cans just to have a nice drink in the night in the wilderness. Now I know I'm not alone: )Thanks for this nice video. I'm out for a week trip in the wilderness in a week. Cheers

Crap food tastes great outdoors. That tarp is very well thought out, the best style I've seen on utube. American beer is complete crap. Favourite drink, seltzer water and oj. Seltzer contains no sugar or salt like soda. For camping i take Tang powdered oj.

you are too commercial man. this is finally about income not lifestyle. I like many, would advise this easily with a mountaineering lifestyle but you have the views as a popular man so your view is listened to by the inexperienced.

I have to ask, are you Norwegian? (for me, part of the titel and discription is in Norwegian and the other in English. Awesome videos btw I like when you explain what youre doing and giving tips to rookies such as myself: )

Hiya, i want to take my kids for an overnight in the wild. Where can I legally or illegally without being caught camp? I read online that there's only the Moors and the Highlands that it's legal. Is this correct?
