I'm really glad I stumbled across TAOutdoors. I started by watching the Pallet Picket Fence tutorial and have watched all of the 1 Man Pallet Cabin episodes and was quite intrigued by the process. You've inspired me to create things for my back yard. Keep up the good work. I look forward to your future projects.

Thanks for the video, I am fighting a mouse battle as we speak. Got them in my house and no sooner do I catch one than I get another. or 2 I have tried to see where they are coming in and put a stop to it from the outside but it is almost a losing battle. I am seriously thinking of getting a moggy.

I have seen were rats have tunneled throw concrete and tarma so dont know what a wooden cover for a trap will do. Its a old myth that rats and mice like cheese and has been proven that they prefer other food Wells disease (has other names) gives flu like symptoms but kills in 3 days Poor Mickey lol

I had to stop the video for a moment because I was laughing my head off when you said, along comes the mouse - squeak - squeak squeak. I'm still laughing but I'm going back to watch the rest now. I feel like I'm watching an old Sidney James movie or an On The Busses show.

I usually use chocolate or cake or even chocolate cake depending what type of trap I'm baiting. I have a couple of humane traps that are good for mice and rats and I bait them with drilled chocolate buttons threaded onto the triggering wire.

Hahaha entertaining. Interesting that they go under leaves i didn't think of that. I had to kill off a group that were living under a sort of rockery last year. Plenty more where they came from though. Are they any good for bait?

I don't have mouse/rats problems anymore because of the huge numbers of cats that live around my house. Question: what do you think about glue rat traps?
reply

Cheese works but chocolate really is betterEven better still, get yourself a couple of catsOh and don't feed raptors with poisoned rodents, not a nice way to die
reply

I remember, we had a mouse trap which was more like a cage, as mouse got to the cheese the mechanism closed the cage and so the mouse would not die.
