I took my Dad to the Bushcraft Camp where we did a catch and cook on the fire. This time we pan fried the fish in butter, which was a Bass. We tell you the whole recipe as well as show you how to catch Bass from the shore and a boat. Graeme also shows you how to de-scale the fish and clean it ready for cooking. It was great to chill at camp with Dad, and we spent some time to make a Primitive Bushcraft Chair with sticks. Hope you enjoy it - Mike

Late to this video Though late to every video older than a month or so old Just wanted to say, you use butter for the taste, and the oil help to stop the butter from burningI'm filleting this my way, and I can, because it's our showAn old teacher of mine when I was in college couldn't stomach the caffeine in coffee, she could drink tea and things like cola, but struggled with the caffeine. She could drink decaf quite happily. Possibly something to test if your dad enjoys the taste of coffee. admittedly, as you were building the bushcraft chair, and especially as you began digging the hole, I thought you were building your dad a toilet seat.

Hey love your videos with or without your dad but just a note if you are going to filet the fish anyway you can can filet the skin off as well by beginning at the tail placing your knife between the skin and meat and slide back and forth like a saw to remove the skin from the meat and you don't have to worry about scaling them at all. Don't know if anyone has ever given you that thought or not but I thought I would share it. I do all my fish except catfish that way except my catfish. But just a thought for you is all

Add more back supports on the chair, about 4-6 inches apart, then cut an old sleeping pad in a similar triangle to pad the sticks and you may just replace the recliner at the house with itAs for the fish, on a campfire where the heat is not as closely regulated, cooking with skin and scales on, fish on the half shell as we call it, lessens the chance of burning the and ruining the fish Cook it a couple minutes on the bone side, then flip the skin down to the heat and let it finish cooking through.

SO SO Glad to see your dad is back, he has a great sense of humour and is very knowledgeable about wildlife, fish, hunting, camping and is an amazingly great man. You and your Dad look so much alike. Always very well informative video and so Great to see your dad and yourself again in the video. Bless you all and thanks for sharing. Best regards from Northern Canada. (And yes your dad is right, do what is right no matter what others think.

I highly recommend that you try the skin on sea bass. It's absolutely the best part. Especially if you baste the skin in butter to crisp the skin. It's just like how many people don't eat salmon skin. Those of us who do eat it, couldn't imagine the fish without it. If you ever had salmon skin roll at sushi place. It's delicious. Just recommend that you try he skin. It's simply awesome.

Great time with your Dad He showed catching fish, filleting fish and cooking fish. That was so awesome Let him know he is not alone with coffee. Here at my home in Michigan, I depend on my morning coffee so that I can have my morning do before jotting off to work. Coffee is a great laxative. HA As always. thanks for another great video sharing

Hi boys I think mike could of used his blow pipe as a leaf blower after he finished using it for fire and let dad go fishing and then his new nick name would have been flymo, kids all that they think of is them selfs. When I descaling fish I use the back of knife to prevent cutting the fish. Great vid keep them coming.

Ok sorry I see that you did that in the video I guess I should have watched the whole thing first but if I'm taking the skin off them i save the hassle of scaling them. Again sorry I'll keep my mouth shut next time lol great videos and great times seeing you on here. I really enjoy all you do and give to you tube

I did some research on birds a few years back. Remember reading up about English species. The kite and buzzard have very similar feathers. This one has the horizontal patterns only going all the way across for about half the feather, which suggests, but isn't a certain indicator, of a red kite.

Good filet and fry tutorial In North America, away from the sea coast, fishermen are more apt to know fresh water bass--both small-mouth and large-mouth. In my experience, fresh-water large-mouth bass can taste 'grassy' since they feed around weed beds. The sea bass are the gourmet item.
