Off Grid Pallet Wood Cabin: Opening Subscriber Gifts & Coffee Vibes

I head into the woods alone to spend some time in the off grid cabin. The tiny recycled pallet wood cabin feels like a rustic home now that the woodstove is installed and the bed and window are complete. With the candles lit and ambient lights on, the cabin is feeling cosy Although winter is still in full flow and the frost is on the ground, the cabin soon warmed up with the G Stove lit. I made a coffee using freshly ground coffee beans, and a french press or Cafetiere. Many people ask me how to make coffee from grinding the coffee beans up. I like to use a portable ceramic hand-grinder to crush the beans into a coarse grind. The perfect cup of coffee takes practice but at the end of the day we all have different tastes What better way to spend a day then opening up some incredible gifts that were sent to me by my subscribers. I received all manner of presents and personal letters and notes. I feel incredibly humbled to have such loyal youtube subscribers and I would like to thank you all for joining me on the adventure I am looking forward to spending more time at the wilderness cabin, and it's been a great project with my dad trying to turn it into a wilderness homestead. I look forward to foraging the wild edibles and plants in spring, and cooking fresh food on the woodstove. Living off the land isn't an easy task, but it is something I am striving to learn more about. I hope I can take you guys with me on this journey to develop my bushcraft skills, learn how to survive in the wild and if I can, to learn more about primitive technology and developing the primitive skills that were second nature to our ancestors. TA Outdoors is all about being outside in the forests and mountains, fishing in both river and sea, catching your own food and learning more about survival. In videos to come I hope to do more of these things. Watch me spend my first night in the Off Grid Pallet Wood Cabin: The Woodstove we use is the Gstove Heat View. They are offering my subscribers 15% off their stoves and accessories on their website: The code is taoutdoors It's an affiliate code so it helps out our Channel: ) Watch all of the Cabin Build Episodes

Allo You are lucky to have your Dad building this cabin It should try to sleep into that cabin: ) Did you give a name of your cabin? I travel to Yukon and have stayed to a beautiful large log cabin and i slept into it and go to the middle night to the john toilet and in that night it was been visiting with wolves, tracks left on the morning. I really like the outdoor and the people are very nice. I ate the candy smoke fish, sooo good I think you should built a twin cabin for your guess I might be come to visit: ) one day.

That's one of our less dangerous predators here in the U. S, Mike. We also have wolves, Grizzly bears, cougars (mountain lions, not horny older ladies. Though those can be deadly as well) and even Jaguars in Texas. Oh and the wild boar throughout the south will gore you. Moose will also tear you apart. And your truck. But moose aren't actually a predator. Just good at defense.

Saw the video of the build, that looked like a lot of work, but it also looks like a nice little spot. Some sort of plumbing might be in order for taking care of business, I think you understand, and I'm concerned about how well insulated the cabin is for winter nights. Cheers from across the pond in NY State.

Loved the enthusiasm whilst opening your gifts. I can picture you as a little boy on Christmas morning. BTW, you're a natural in front of the camera Keep at it. My favourite Canadians mentioned you at their get together, Joe Robinet and Shawn James

One of the best things that a human can do is take off their shoes and walk on mother nature. Every time I do that, I remind myself that I'm stand on ground that could be millions of years old. No one knows for sure how old the earth is.

Camp coffee was a special treat for me in the late 50s onwards. My mum used to serve it to me, made with water, in a glass as a special treat. Still buy it now. Cant believe your old man never had it as a nipper. Its cheap

. patented poo bag holder- oddly enough, there is prior art for this. Jamie Lee Curtis (yes, her) holds a patent for a wet wipe pocket on nappies/diapers. Not quite Hedy Lamarr. but what a fascinating modern age we live in.
